WallCal is a desktop calendar that always stays on the desktop wallpaper. A keystroke or mouseclick can bring it to the frontmost, and with another keystroke or click it will return to the background. Instantly see and recall what your calendar/agenda/todo-list currently be as soon as you go back to the desktop wallpaper!
Features:
・An always-on desktop background calendar displaying the events/reminders of the current month. Since it displays your current macOS/iCloud calendars, you don't have to create anything new, just continue using your existing calendars as you always do.
・Bring the calendar to frontmost state on demand by a keystroke/mouseclick, and another keystroke/mouseclick to bring it back to the desktop background.
・Intuitively reposition the calendar when it's in frontmost state by using drag & drop.

I wrote this app because the other app I was using stopped working after Big Sur update. Since I'm also using this app every day, I will continue to polish it, fix bugs if any, add more customization options if there are any needed use-cases and/or suggestions.

The main WallCal app is now free to download at https://apps.apple.com/app/wallcal-wallpaper-calendar/id1581367286. This app will go into maintenance mode and won't have new features. While you can still continue using WallCal Lite without any restrictions, please move to the main WallCal app for better support.

I got this to try out before purchasing the full version. The description says "a keystroke or mouseclick can bring it to the frontmost" but nowhere does it say WHAT key stroke or mouse click gets you there. I'm unable to open anything to do with the app, but can't uninstall it because it's "open." The design is nice and over all what I'm looking for, IF I can have some semblance of control over it. As it is, I can't change it or get rid of it.

Hi there, thank you for trying out WallCal 🙌 we're very sorry for the ambiguous description and we planned to revise it in the next update 🙏 you may already notice that when the app is opened, there's a calendar icon in the menu bar, this is the entrance to the app preferences where you can configure the shortcut key to bring the app to the frontmost state, at which you can freely reposition the calendar view 😉 you can also toggle the frontmost state with an option when you click the menu bar icon, and also you can choose to close the app if you'd like 😊 if you have any other concerns, we're here to support you at tsukie.studio@gmail.com, so please don't hesitate to drop us an email, any time 🥰
