altafiber TV for iPhone 4+

Disaster app

While glitchy, the app worked for about 6 months on home WIFI. Then boom, overnight is stops working on both iPhone and iPad (latest iOS)... the channels are unselectable! After rebooting iPhone and no change, I deinstalled and reinstalled app. Same behavior. Spoke to support, they logged call and called me back almost everyday for 10 days, each day telling me they were still diagnosing and had no resolution. Last call I told them I had enough and to simply close the ticket out.

Interestingly, as a workaround for the Watch Fioptics issue they told me to download their WatchAnywhere app which apparently is designed to (you guessed it) work anywhere while you’re away from home. Sadly the app was unfindable on Apple App Store and the references to the app on the Fioptics website were nonsensical... described the app/service but provided no links or instruction on how to find it. Crazy-crazy stuff. Even the Support rep was scratching her head.

Bottom line: this app is worthless for me.

Worst app ever. Never works

JUST SWITCH NOW. This app is absolutely horrible? Doesn’t matter how many times you delete and remove and reinstall the app, it never works. Don’t waste your time and just switch to Spectrum or other streaming services. Alta fiber will soon go out of business because it is one of the worst functioning companies & app. One would think with paying a high premium for cable and being able to have an app that allows you to stream it on your devices, you would make sure the app would actually work and function well. Poor development, poor developers, poor management overall. My recommendation is for everyone to cancel her subscription with altafiber and move to either spectrum or another streaming service. And Altafiber…FIX IT!!! AND MAKE SURE IT WORKS ALL THE TIME!!!!!!! Did I mention how horrible this app is already.

This app used to be Better!

This app was better before the update! I have an iPhone 8+ and since I updated this app it got worse. Every time I watch something the show will glitch for 5 seconds randomly. This happens maybe 6 or 7 times every hour. There are also times when I’m watching something and it will glitch for a couple seconds then come back and it will rewind 15 seconds so now I’m watching something I just watched. This is very annoying! Also the new update made it to where I can’t lay down and watch something if I have my phone sideways. If you try to have you phone sideways it won’t let you watch something full screen. This app was way BETTER before the update! Please fix these issues or I will be forced to delete and download every Individual app to watch different channels which I didn’t want to! Thanks
