Easy to use but don’t be skimpy on the font sizes!!!
Seems to work, I’ll update in a few days, but it’s missing a few things to be more user friendly.
Readable fonts is my biggest complaint. Look at the 76% on the images in iTunes, you can barely read the recommended amount for the day. Look at the watch face in iTunes and imagine that barely grey text so much smaller (and on a watch). It’s nice that all 8 options fit on one watch screen, but I’d be happy with 4 per watch screen. I guess I’ll learn that juice is magenta with a straw and soda doesn’t come with a straw (if I could see the bubbles in the soda, I probably could read the word soda).
You can input in ounces or milliliters, but your height must be in centimeters and your weight in kilograms.
I input in too many ounces and there isn’t a way to correct it (or to review what I input for the day so far, did I put in that glass of milk?). It might seem obvious that I could just put in 4 ounces less later, but it was juice and I’m not drinking any more juice today. Just seems like it’d be easy to correct.
Assuming my water intake is based on my weight, it’d be great if you could pull it out of health kit so that I don’t have to update (and keep converting to Kg.
Not all that simple
Drink x ml water daily is a myth! There's no hard data on it yet somehow it's entered our consciousness and become "truth". We're all different and have to be aware of that.
For example, I had a terrible night about 12 years ago when I began seizing due to an electrolyte imbalance. I'd never had seizures before but a part of my brain knew what was going on even though the physician I saw was a moron and didn't. The nurse got me through the night and my knowledge of physiology got me through the next couple of days. Fast forward 10 years & I learned I have chronic low-sodium. I don't get to drink to satisfy thirst although I get to salt to my food. Sometimes I feel that strangeness in my brain that indicates I need to give myself a jolt of electrolytes and I mix up a packet of something that would be revolting to most, yet feels fantastic to me.
It's not so simple as drink X amount of fluids. Sure, apps like this may be useful to track what you were drinking for purposes other than fulfilling the mythology and which case I applaud you.
I LOVE this app! It's the first app to give you so many drinking options and it shows you just how they affect your water intake. I have a few suggestions tho... There should be a way to manually input how many ounces, there should be a better breakdown of what you consume (tea is good for you but sugar and milk can change that a lot), and I would really like a way to go back and see what I entered. I drink A LOT of different beverages at once and sometimes I forget which ones I entered. Either way, I still love the app 😊
