  • Great for wind speed, temp & rain more than just by hour

    LOVE & USE DAILY! Continuous line graphs of wind speed (mainly what I bought it for) plus rain & temperatures too also continuously displayed shows at a glance how conditions will be all day much faster than reconstructing from hourly blocks in a chart! Drag finger over lines shows you exactly the temp/ windowed/ precipitation / pressure or air quality. The trends are really clear! I love being able to tell from the diagram without having read more than a few numbers on a chart - saves me time as I am busy. I chose it from almost 10 I tried before. I highly recommend!

    DON’T PAY FOR THIS! I had a paid subscription for NOAA Radar Pro, which I loved until it stopped functioning. The app store sent me to this. As soon as you download, before you see the app, it immediately hounds you to pay and offers a “discount” if you do it immediately. Thinking this was the same as my old app, I paid $9.99 for a year. Once I opened it, I found out that it’s not even close. The user interface is clunky and confusing. The weather map is very imprecise. The “forecast” provides less information than Alexa does. The supposed storm tracking tells you there are storms “somewhere in the world”, but you can’t click an icon and see them. So, absolutely useless for tracking developing storms and hurricanes. No options as to what you want alerts for. It’s all or nothing. I tried their other “Free Radar Live” app, which is really much nicer and includes useful information like dew points and “feels like” temperatures with a much nicer interface and more customizable options. Of course, I’d have to pay ANOTHER subscription fee to keep premium features. This developer is ripping people off. Why not do as in the past and make a decent free and a great premium app that does everything? Also, the widget is ugly and doesn’t seem to update. DON’T BUY THIS APP! If you’re going to buy one from this developer, get the much nicer one. If you want free with ads, look somewhere else completely.

  • Very disappointed with subscription

    This app used to be amazingly accurate. Now, not so much -- when it's warm and sunny outside, it says it's overcast and 50 degrees in my location, etc. To make matters worse, it continuously stops recognizing my paid subscription status with every update. This time, it won't even restore my purchase AND they're showing ads when I paid for a full year without ads back in January. When I looked at the ad-free options, my subscription no longer covered an ad-free experience. So I opted to "go premium" but it still wouldn't take away the ads until my subscription renews in January. B.S.! I have done all the reporting bugs and dealing with payment issues I can handle with this app. I don't have these issues with other apps that I pay for, and when I pay for an app, I expect to get what I pay for. The price on this keeps going up while the quality of the app's function continues to decline. Not worth it, in my opinion.

We are sorry to hear that our app failed to predict the weather correctly. For our weather report, we are relying on an external source that sends us their data. Sometimes this data is incorrect, which is something we can’t do anything about. Sometimes things go wrong in retrieving the data, which is where our weather service comes into play. This is a large system that handles the weather retrieval and updates of multiple apps. If you could send us the details of your bad forecast, then we are going to check your weather problem with our weather service and see if we can find and solve it!

    At 84 years of age I have lots of experience with weather forecasting. I trust my own judgement and with the help of your radar I don’t even have to go outside to do it. As a child, my father and I would go outside and watch the sky and judge if we needed to go to the storm cellar or back in the house. A couple of time it was a quick trip!Kansas is known for its unpredictable weather. Cliches like: “If you don’t like the weather, just wait a few minutes, it will change.” And my favorite, which is always right, “it is going to be light today and dark tonight.”

    With this app I can make better judgements regarding my activities in relationship to the weather. As a sailor I’ve used it to make critical decisions to keep my boat, crew and myself safe. Great for a critical look before I leave the comfort of my home to determine a go or no go for a day sail, or on my small boat to augment what I can see and feel. As a driver, I occasionally encountering pop up storms. I can see the development, track and adjust my speed to help avoid severe spots. I love this app.

  • Very versatile, easy-to-use weather app

    ... but I still do not understand why, say, a rain icon can sometimes be displayed for the day when none of the hour-by-hour slots has rain in the forecast.By the same token, if 23 of the 24 hour-by-hour icons for a given day display bright sun and only one is sun/rain, then the icon for the entire day, in my opinion, should not be sun/rain but rather sun.In any event, it is a great app and use it all the time. You just have to overlay your own judgment when you read the forecast.

    Newer ain’t better

    Was forced to change/update my NOAA weather app because the one I had been using stopped updating on the radar selection, was stuck on March 3rd-basically useless. I am not going to pay for any weather service, but in the process to get noaa updated it repeatedly takes me to the “you have to pay for radar” page. I’m finally past that but now I’m not able to get any radar to come up…but the “pay for it” option continues to cover the bottom of my screen 😡 The updated version is full of useless/unnecessary charts and graphs, just give the forecast each day: high-low, wind & percentages for precipitation. Should’ve stayed with what I had, expect to delete noaa and try something else.

  • Nice app but widget refuses to work

    I got the app and after playing around with the features decided to buy the annual membership. The widget worked great initially for about a week. The app did a update and now the widget won’t work. Now it’s just grayed out. I’ve reset the locations, uninstalled and reinstalled, refreshed purchases, checked location permissions, hard closed the app, removed the widget and put it back… nothing makes the widget work. One of the main reasons I purchased was to be able to use the widget on my home screen to see temperatures and a small map. The app is useless to me.

  • I can no longer read this as a five star app

    This used to be an excellent weather app. I am a subscriber and that says something because I do not believe in app subscriptions. I will happily pay for an app, but an ongoing subscription is just a way to bleed customers out of more cash. Since the last update the weather radar is at minimum an hour behind all other weather apps on both my new iPad and iPhone 12 Pro. I have reached out to the developers and have received the cursory “thank you for letting us know we are looking into it“ response, but a week later still no fix.For now this is going to the back page of my shortcuts. I will check it periodically but I’m not holding out much hope and I will not be letting my subscription renew.
