would be great if it worked all the time

this WOULD be a great app if it didn't randomly crash every time it updated, and then require me to restart my entire computer to get it to work with Zoom again. the updates are too frequent for this to not be a menace, and happens at times in the middle of the work day - not sure why it would push an update after using it for hours. Having to fully restart my entire laptop is just a bit much for every update, and I wish that the app just worked because it's the best option of what's available.

I tried this app because I was tired of having the crappiest webcam images on all my Zoom calls. And I've been really pleased. Seriously: it's like night and day. Webcam Effects has changed everything! It's got lots of powerful tools, but is super intuitive to use; it took me less than 5 minutes of playing around with it to more or less master it. It offers a bunch of preset filters, but if you prefer you can manually tweak sharpness, color, and brightness settings to create your own custom filters and then name and save them. I love the zoom, track, and tilt features, which mean I can excise the parts of my background I don't want folks to see without having to resort to dumb backgrounds or trying to constantly reposition my webcam. The color correction tools are super cool and remind me of Photoshop. The free version lets you play around and get a sense of what this can do. If you like it, you can download the paid version, which I did. This will let you stream the cam feed to other apps like Zoom and Teams. When you get the paid version, you also get a bonus video record-and-play feature that lets you record and play or loop video of yourself with the much-enhanced visual effects. I downloaded version 2 and did not have any memory issues. I'm a big fan.

Great for enhancing webcam settings

I bought a new MacBook Air and holy cow does that camera show everything. Five miles wide and no amount of scooting the laptop back helped make my face look less gigantic on screen. This app is great for adjusting those settings via pan/zoom/tilt functionality, helping balance your color (and applying more effects if you're looking for color schemes). Can't wait to see what the next version has in store!

PS: The software is pretty intuitive, but I did reach out to support a couple of times and they were very responsive. Highly recommend!
