Exactly what I need, but it crashes!

This app is exactly what I need! It can control external webcam details, specifically the refresh rate to avoid flickering from lights due to AC power frequency.

The problem is, this app always crashes for the camera I need it. My Razer Kiyo gets bad flicker, but launching this app while it's connected, or plugging in the camera while the app is running, causes an instant crash of Webcam Settings.

My Logitech and the internal camera all work great with this app, though, so I have hope that a bug fix will come!

Developer Response ,

We just looked into it, and it turns out Razer Kiyo has its special configuration settings and your best bet is to download a Razer Kiyo specific camera setting app(from their website maybe)

Older webcam? No problem!

Even in a "work from home" environment, I'm still trying to find a spot to work. We have four desktops in the house, and I trade with kids and my wife depending on the situation.

I just moved to my wife's MacMini so that I could keep an eye on the puppy. She had an old M$ LifeCam HD-3000 that I hadn't set up on it yet. I plugged the camera in hoping that the Mac would find it and joined the meeting. Thankfully my camera was found and was working, but everything was too bright like I was being barraged by light torpedos. I turned off the camera in Teams and started looking for camera software...and not finding any...until now!

This app does what it's supposed to do and it does it well. I was able to change the brightness and a few other issues with the camera without any trouble. I played with the settigs until I looked "normal" and saved the profile. Now on camera with the old cam I'm not overpowered by light!

If you are trying to use an external camera, this app will help you control that camera without the crapware that normally comes with the camera! You will be pleasantly surprised!

Zoom doesn't work.

I specifically got this for color adjustment and zoom. My external camera is too wide angle and I wanted to zoom in a little so I am not so small in the screen. In the app pictures and in the app there is a slider for zoom, but it does nothing. I am guessing this only works if your camera has an optical zoom feature.

The white balance slider did well to correct the color issue, so that was nice.
