Wedding photographer here. Bumped up from 3 stars to 4 stars. The most recent update was a massive improvement and I think they’re taking this app in the right direction now. Originally, it was barely usable, but now with the focus being primarily on the messaging, it’s so much better. The app runs so much more smoothly and is tailored essentially just for messaging leads which is fantastic. I can see all the info submitted by the leads and it works. Eventually, it might be nice to see some of the functionality return for updating photos on my storefront since I have a lot of pictures on my phone from each wedding. But in the app’s current state, it’s stable and communications oriented which is exactly what I need it for. Nice work!

With every update the app gets notably worse. How this is possible, I don’t understand. They’ve been in the game a long time. There are too many problems to list, but the latest update has rendered the app completely useless. It won’t even load on my iPhone. I pay almost $4,000 a year for this service. They talk about the great improvements coming, and pressure you into renewing every year, and the only reason I stay is because of how far up my listing is on search engines. I called customer service bc one of the major glitches literally caused a scheduling mishap with a bride. I was furious. I made them aware that this happens with most of the leads I receive and they had no clue it was happening. How? That’s a MAJOR problem and it cost me $800 and an understandably upset client. By the way, the problem still fully exists. Make sure if you use the service, you double and triple confirm the dates with your brides. It puts the wrong day of the week, and sometimes wrong year, and will also put two conflicting dates in two different area when they submit their info. Embarrassing I have to apologize on behalf of a business that has been around for decades. A year later and the problem still isn’t fixed.

If you do business off of an iPhone, this app is not going to work. It rarely works. It will send me notifications of an inquiry, but I have to access it from a browser within the app itself. It just recycles and recycles and recycles. They have been updating this app for the three years that I’ve been on it. It has never worked properly. However, they continue to increase the price point at which they charge for their monthly fees. They told me that they were going to offer me some sort of booking incentive where they put me on a front. I don’t think that ever happened. I’ve had multiple brides. Tell me that even when they filter down to black owned or woman owned hair and make up my profile still doesn’t come up and there are not a lot of black owned businesses on this platform to begin with so at this point, I’m really not quite sure what I’m paying for. Especially considering that on average I’m spending about $400 a month to advertise on this platform and my lead I’ve done nothing but go down even with me continuing to update them the way in which they suggest that we do so very disappointing.

Two years after this app first failed to notify me that I had leads waiting for responses, and suffering some of the most inconsistent, clueless, untruthful tech-support I’ve ever encountered, the troubles continue. That first episode in 2024 led me to cancel my subscription. I then read the following year that Wedding Pro was now under new leadership. I naïvely sign back up, after they assured me that the problems were fixed. They persist. I continue to have the following problems: the app not notifying me that I have leads waiting for me, or the opposite problem, the badge alerting me that I still have a lead waiting for me, when all it was was the previous lead. It’s one or the other. And I’m starting to suspect that the way the company deals with the second problem is to induce the first. Either way, I am paying this company hundreds of dollars a month for exposure, and then alerts when that exposure leads to potential clients. I am in a contract for the next four months, which will cost me upwards of about $1200. If telling the truth about this company is the only redress I have, then this will be the platform I do it on. Do not sign up for hey subscription to this company if you are a Wedding vendor.
