FCC complaint button?
I like the idea of being able to know when my data is possibly being throttled but the only way to actually do anything about is to go and file a complaint to the FCC. Maybe add a button to file a complaint along with the information to go with the complaint???
Love idea But...
It doesn’t always work. But I believe it’s due to the unanticipated heavy traffic after publicity they got when Apple refused to accept the wehe app initially. It’s working better now after I think they updated server to handle more traffic. But it’s an excellent concept, I just hope they add more apps to tests. But thank you to everyone involved because it’s a very important project to track net neutrality abusers like Facebook, google, Verizon, Comcast, AT&T, Charter / Spectrum, LinkedIn, etc
Is it possible to add ESPN as an app/service to test? I should be able to see sports in 480p, regardless of how much bandwidth I’ve used but, after I stream for several minutes I can see my bandwidth become reduced to less than .5Mbs. Verizon says it’s their “network management”... and they make sure to correct me when I say they are “throttling”. 🙄 They can’t say it’s due to high use age in an area because it happens ALL THE TIME.
