not user friendly

I downloaded the app through my school and had been using it for a few weeks and then it started acting weird where every time I would open the app it would ask for me to create an account-no option to sign in -just create an account. I deleted the app multiple times, restarted my phone, all of that and it hasn’t changed in weeks. It just keeps asking me to create an account-and even if I try creating an account again obviously it says that I already have an account. I emailed them and got no response so I’m just deleting it it’s too frustrating.

Good, Can Be Much Better

I have used this app for one week, and although there are not many issues, there are two significant issues. The first is the opening survey, in which the user is asked to identify their gender. The first three options show “man,” “woman,” and “transgender.” Transgender is absolutely not a separate gender from cisgender.

The second issue is the interface during mood-checks. I use an iPad 7th Gen, not the newest but definitely not outdated. The mood check is done in a floating window, and I can’t see the full window at any point. Swiping to center the smiley results in scrolling to the following page in the check.

Criticisms aside, this app provides some good resources and is very well catered to the UIUC student body and faculty. Will continue using and hope to see improvements made.

Thank you for sharing your experiences and we appreciate the feedback. We reviewed our gender identity options to make sure we are in offering affirming and welcoming identifiers for anyone. The gender options have now been updated.

If you haven't been in the app in a while, give it another try. We've made significant upgrades in the last year.

Decent app, small functionality issue

I’ve had a the app for a few days, mostly doing moodchecks so far. I don’t know how helpful or effective the app is in addressing anxiety or depression, but once again, I haven’t explored enough app features to say. One feature I do really like is the planning activities tab, which gives initiative to plan and do something stimulating. I like that the app is connected to the school and provides relevant links to school hotlines and resources when needed.

A minor functionality issue: Some buttons are located on the top of the screen. On the iPhone X, these buttons are interrupted by the time and battery display on each side of the phone’s “notch”, making buttons here inaccessible. Please provide an update for this, thank you!
