What I Own: Inventory Manager has two main uses - to organize and categorize possessions, and to get an estimated value for insurance purposes.
In recent years the number of natural disasters has increased around the world. Floods and fires have affected millions of people. At the same time, the number of burglaries in our homes has increased.
Are you prepared if any of this happens to you?
Whether it's an inventory of your personal possessions, a collection of wines or office equipment on your job, What I Own simplifies documentation of what's important to you.
Many also know that it can be difficult to get the right compensation from their insurance company from a possible damage or loss. A good documentation, where you can quickly find the right information, increases the chances for the right compensation. It also makes it easier to take out the right insurance since What I Own gives you an idea of the total value of your possessions.

Purchased this app in preparation for an upcoming long distance move. Features and line up is really great and i truly believe that this app will be great once its out of its babyshoes.
I purchased and started using it an hour ago and am ready to throw the ipad out of the window... The app crashes constantly. At least twenty times during this one hour i've been working with it. Taking pictures often makes the program freeze, picture not being safed anyway. Not more than four manufacturers can be saved, same with locations which is just not enough. So so far this app is really frustrating. Work much more on it and i am sure it will be great. But right now it should not be out there. I could have saved time, money and nerves.
It's good for that emergency you hope never happens
It's a good app. Allows you to create a list of your house from vehicles, electronics, and even the land itself. You can attach photos, categorize the items, email yourself the list in PDF format. You can even see a total assets value of everything you own.
But despite it's obvious uses and features it could stand some very basic improvements. It would be great to have the ability to copy an item so you don't have to re-enter all the data for multiple items that are the same except S/N. Maybe even a quantity field on entry that copies everything except the S/N. (my ipad, my wife's ipad, my kids ipad) Or even for those items where you just want the one item listed with the number of.(12 silver forks, 12 mikasa dinner plates) Also an awesome feature would be the ability to export and import so I don't have to do this list all over again on my next device.
All in all if you don't have an app for this or have even been putting off making this list. This app is a good reason to get started.
Love this app.
This is an outstanding app! I used a spreadsheet on my PC ( open office) to make a home inventory years ago but it was hard to update. This app is wonderful. So far, I have over $45,000 of stuff itemized and that is just the large items, electronics, furniture and firearms. I love the fact that it is easy to add photos of the items which makes it much more valuable as an insurance tool.
Customer support is excellent. Started out on my iPad 2 with the inventory but recently obtained the new iPad. I asked Tech Support via email from the app if it was possible to 'sync' the two from within the app. I had an answer the same day that 'in app syncing' was not possible in the current version but would be addressed in the next update...but he did tell me how to sync using iTunes which I did easily.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
