Ratings and Reviews
My view on the newly introduced reaction feature to WhatsApp messages.
I love WhatsApp and it’s remarkable features. Lately, the introduction of the reaction feature is something that has made the app more interesting. You get to react to a message that doesn’t necessarily need a text reply. It’s incredibly hilarious when you get to react with laughing emojis to funny comments by loved ones. To me, it’s like expressing a lot in just a second without sending another text WhatsApp message. However, one disadvantage is that, you don’t get to know when your loved one sees the reaction. Going forward, it’ll only be prudent that, WhatsApp gets to employ a feature that will aid users to know that their reactions has been viewed by loved ones, just as the ‘info’ option pops up on a user’s screen and further enables the user to view the current status of the message, whether delivered or viewed. I think this feature will continue to make WhatsApp a more user friendly app as it as being in the past few years. Thank you.😊👍🏾
App got worse after no choice then having to update
What happened to what’s app after the update. It got worse. What about being able to delete what you sent on both sides nit just from my chat, it used to not any more! You said there were improvements? Not at all! Improvements doesn’t mean to take away what worked well for many. improvements is enhancing adding not removing what works. What a disappointment this app fell short! Many feel the same! Security? That probably won’t be secure either anymore! Let’s see what will happen going forward with all the breaches and the unsecured and less encryption . I can go on and on. If you say you will improve, then do as you promise! Developer Response ,
Thanks for the review.
Please note that you only have about **an hour** after you've sent a message to delete for everyone.
Messages that are successfully deleted for everyone will be replaced with:
“**This message was deleted**”
To delete messages for everyone:
1. Open the WhatsApp chat containing the message you want to delete.
2. Tap and hold the message :: tap **Delete**.
* Optionally, select more messages to delete multiple messages at once.
3. Tap the **trash can** icon :: **Delete For Everyone**.
* In order for messages to be successfully deleted for everyone, both you and your recipient must be using the latest version of WhatsApp.
* Recipients using WhatsApp for iOS may still have media you sent saved to their Photos, even after the message is deleted from the WhatsApp chat.
* Recipients may see your message before it's deleted or if deletion wasn’t successful.
* You won’t be notified if deleting for everyone wasn’t successful.
* You only have about an hour after you've sent a message to request to **Delete for Everyone**
Never seen a more garbage communication app
Just to clarify I have been using WhatsApp for several years, if I had to guess it would be over 4 years, I have plenty of friends that use it and swear by it but I cannot fathom how frustrating it is to use sometimes. I came on here to express one thing and one thing only.
Many of my colleagues use this app to video chat and to send text. I have added many contacts using WhatsApp however when I try to send a message or call these new contacts i am left with only inviting them to use the app, rendering the app completely useless at times. Allow me to specify my problem.
Say for example I added a new phone number in my contacts list. I close the app to then open WhatsApp, I try to search for the new contact. I find the name, but when I try to send a message the only choice I have is to invite. This is mostly frustrating when I first add someone but I have contacts from a year ago that still need an invitation when they so clearly use the app on a daily basis. As long as this problem persists I don’t see myself using the app long term, if it wasn’t for this issue I would be ecstatic about the development. For now I’m disappointed and at a loss of words for how I would feel going forward.
