Minor adjustment

This app needs some minor adjustments if I may suggest one. Go to “schedule” and then “Trades/Available Shifts” then “My Offers” which is where all of your pending shifts are listed. This section is very unorganized and difficult to keep track of the shifts that you have volunteered to work. My suggestion is that this section is organized by the days that are volunteered to be picked up. The company I work for offers four hour increment shifts, and when I offer to pick up more than one 4 hour shift in one day, they get mixed up amongst other days that I offer to work. For example in the “My Offers” section it will list the following in this order.
December 8th 10:30am-2:30pm
December 6th 10:30am-2:30pm
December 9th 10:30am-2:30pm
December 10th 10:30-2:30pm
December 5th 10:30-2:30pm
December 8th 2:30pm-6:30pm

Please fix this so that all of the shifts are organized by days and organized in chronological order.

Developer Response ,

Update: based on your suggestion the developers have updated the app to sort the 'My Offers' section by shift date, so please let us know if easier to review now. Thanks for this suggestion and anytime you have improvement ideas please email them to our support@when2work.com address so we can add you as an early tester when it becomes available, we appreciate your input!

App is confusing, use website instead

Website is easy to use but the app is confusing and unclear.
I accepted a shift trade offer from someone and it disappeared, not changing our schedules or showing up anywhere else. On the support website I read that it would not change the schedule if the manager had selected an option to approve all trades, however it also said in this case it should appear as pending approval (which it did not). I went on the website eventually and realized that there was a clear easy way to view trades pending approval online and this cleared up confusing. I like the website but the app is to confusing and does not show nearly as much information as the website.
Also another note: notifications default to being off so make sure to turn them on if so you are aware when a shift trade offer has been made to you.
So overall: website is clear and easy to use, app is stressful and confusing.

Near Perfect

This is one of many scheduling apps I’ve used as an employee. It’s simple and to the point and gets the job done. I would love to see a way to set a default filter when viewing everyone’s schedule. I work at one location of a restaurant group with three other establishments and it’s a bit of a hassle to always have to go in and then set the filter to my location.

Other than that, no complaints. Would recommend.
