Description
Does your knowledge of geography need to be improved? "Where in the World" is a fun & educational way to learn about the locations of the main World cities & landmarks.
How good are you at geography? Maybe you know where New York is, or London. Do you know where Baku is? How about Sofia? How about the Taj Mahal? I think most of us could improve our knowledge of geography.
WhereInTheWorld is a simple game to help improve our knowledge of places in the world.
The easiest option would be to select World Capitals, with a maximum score per question of 400 points.
More difficult are Landmarks where you will be presented with a small image of a famous landmark - worth 450 points.
Finally, select cities of the world - worth 500 points.
In each case, you will score if your guess is with 500km of the correct location.
If you are struggling, you can request the country (for cities) or name (for landmarks) which then reduces the possible points by a half.

Excellent test and learning tool.
A topographical map of earth with no political boundaries to help. It tests one’s geographic knowledge and teaches at the same time. Play this game long enough and you will be sure to get an “A” in world geography. Fun and educational. Requires an internet connection to play. Highly recommended.

Hi - I'm really glad you enjoyed the game. Version 1.30 is now out and will make it even easier to learn your geography.
For example, after a "guess", the map switches to hybrid mode with countries, cities etc. marked on the map. The correct answer is centred, allowing you to use the zoom control to zoom right into the answer to see where it is in relation to nearby locations etc.
Also, you can now repeat the last game to reinforce what you have just learned. So please have a look at version 1.30.
