Whering: is mostly glitch free, has a pretty good auto background remover, makes collaging and putting together outfits a breeze, has a good database of brands already (though typing to search sometimes doesn’t work), has an okay database of generic clothing items (but only things & cuts that are currently super trendy), has a sustainability focus with used item listings featured, allows you to tag items as used or not, stats available but hard to find & can’t sort by

Save Your Wardrobe: has a good item field for fabric content AND to record care/washing instructions, includes Good On You sustainability ratings for brands (though database is v limited), crashes sadly often and has glitches in size options, has no background remover, pre-populated database lacking most brands, produces great and easy-to-access data on brands in your wardrobe, wardrobe footprint, and percentage worn, has a sustainability focus with featured blogs etc. Could y’all please just compare notes? Join forces??? Whering works better but doesn’t give me some of the cool data I want from SYW. SYW has image and database and UI issues but really great data and closest metrics. Y’all both have sustainability focus. Please???

BEST FREE!! CLOTHING APP

I have been looking for an app like this for years, ever since Polyvore shut down. THIS IS IT!! The app is interface is so intuitive, it makes it so easy to log all of your clothes. You can upload your own pictures and it will remove the background for you, or you can search google images straight from the app to find high quality photos of your clothes! I prefer to find images on Google if I can, because original advertising photos shot in a professional studio look much better than my phone camera photos. You can log your outfits each day and you can see how often you wear each piece of clothing you own. You can put what season a piece of clothing is, the color, size, washing instructions, material, you can add additional photos to any piece of clothing. You can also put how much you paid for it, and based on how many times you documented you wore an item, it will calculate your “price per wear”. There are so many other features I love but there’s too many to list here!
My absolute favorite part about this whole app is that it is 1000% FREE. No ads. No subscriptions. No purchase. TOTALLY FREE. This app is literally perfect!!!

Game changer

It’s the best virtual closet out there. The app allows you to organize your clothes in pretty much any category you want; create outfits and gives you ideas for new ones; tells you about how many clothes you are using from your closet, which really helps in optimizing your closet; create folders for said outfits; and a ton of other features. Is really easy to use.

When I first downloaded it, it took a while to open and was really slow. Sometimes with glitches. I think they’ve been fixing those, because it doesn’t happen nearly as much, but the app still has some ‘thinking time’ between opening of going to one place to the other within the app sometimes.

Overall, I’m really happy with it and it does exactly what I needed and was looking for, which were ways to actually use more clothes instead of always using the same 5 shirts. It’s really user-friendly and they are constantly optimizing it. No other virtual closet I’ve found does what this one does.
