Rounds
There are ten questions in each round, with a round review that goes over your correct and incorrect answers. There are also recommended videos in the round review to further explain the most important ASVAB (AFQT) math concepts.

Game Style
The Whipsmartt app makes ASVAB (AFQT) exam prep feel like a game. Each question is worth 100 points with a 50/50 button if you are in need of a little help. There are ten military based badges that you can achieve with a progress bar at the top of the question screen to let you know how close you are to unlocking the next badge.

Challenges
There are also 30 challenges such as the number of correct answers and perfect rounds. This makes ASVAB (AFQT) exam prep feel much more engaging and interactive. Accomplished challenges are awarded at the end of each round.

Daily Goals
You can set customizable Daily Goals to stay motivated in your preparation for the ASVAB exam. There are three types of Daily Goals: time spent answering ASVAB practice questions, correct answers, and topics mastered per day. Daily Goals that have been hit will be recognized at the end of that round.

Mastery
ASVAB (AFQT) practice questions are organized into topics. Every topic has at least 20 questions. Once you have answered 80% correct for a topic you have “mastered” that topic. Visual notifications for mastering a topic are handed out at the end of each round.

Personalized Progress Icons
There are icons that show your percentage for each topic as well as your percentage for today, this week, this month, and all time.

Tools
Allow you to select times to receive questions as well as a Missed Questions Alert that randomly sends you into a previously missed question for review. The Whipsmartt app also has a feature to recommend the app to friends via an automated text message. There is also a Vacation Mode button to turn off all notifications.

Has a bug and some icons are confusing, but otherwise effective

Good:

-Overall, once you learn the app, it is very efficient for going through questions quickly and learning effectively. I found it more “to-the-point” and efficient than many other quiz apps like this.

-Having a lot of learning resources within the app is very good.

-Being to easily see what questions you have missed quickly is great.

-The military rankings is a fun concept

Needs Improved:

-There is a bug that when you are out of the “free trial”, and you try to do a topic, it will ask you to do buy the premium, then when you say no and go back to the topic pop-up where the green “Go” button is, the back arrow doesn’t work and the app is essentially softlocked.

-I would have the user be able to select a possible answer, and then submit. I accidentally fat-fingered a question I knew the answer to.

-I think the user should be prompted if they want to watch the tutorial video when they open the app for the first time.

-I recommend letting people do a few questions everyday and the premium unlocks more. I think if you reach a certain number and are locked for the rest of time, many may just delete the app.

-Finally, I would make the home button when doing questions an actual house or something of the like so it is more explicit.

-The loading time between questions is a bit much, though not a deal-breaker.

Good App for Studying!

This app is great for studying, I like that there is explanations on how the question is answered and you could even watch videos at the end of a round to further explain it. This app is great at this. The part where it falls is the overall design. The home page is a bit confusing because you have a bottom bar and a four square navigation tool. Too many ways for navigation to happen so I would streamline it. Also for the bottom bar there should definitely be words under them because I personally didn’t get what each icon was supposed to be.

I also think the video in the beginning would help the user better if it was more of a tutorial, rather than the video. Also the “good times” bar is random I would rename it like notifications instead.

Overall this is a great app to study and has a robust system to answer I would just solidify your design choices!

Great study app

So far the app has held up well and I love the quick explanations for the questions answered incorrectly. Much easier to learn from mistakes when they’re addressed right away.

However, I did notice a couple errors in math questions written incorrectly or the answers not adding up properly and there is no where on the app to alert the creators of these errors. Might be a good update to add. That is the only reason for the four star review.
