Protect your family from dangerous products.

Dangerous products are everywhere. Just look at the headlines...

- “Deadly Recalled Products Still Lurk in Child-Care Centers” (L.A. Times)
- “Dogs are Sick, Dying After Eating Recalled Food” (NBC)
- “More Infant Sleep Products Linked to Deaths” (Consumer Reports)

Even when a product is recalled, many people never hear about it. It remains in homes, schools, or daycare centers, and the results can be tragic. Children, pets, and others are constantly at risk.

Every year, dangerous products are responsible for:
- 60,000+ Infant and toddler emergency room visits
- 100,000+ Hospitalizations for food-borne illnesses
- 200,000+ Injuries caused by toys

Whystle lets you know what’s dangerous and what’s safe. Get personalized product safety alerts, search the history of a brand or product type, and see recent news.

Whystle analyzes information across a wide range of sources, including the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control, and more. Sometimes, companies issue sneaky press releases, hoping to satisfy their public disclosure obligations without anybody really noticing — Whystle finds those, too.

Based on your profile (for example: pregnancy, children, pets, allergies), we send you timely alerts that are relevant to you and those under your care.

Recent alerts have covered choking hazards in infant toys, salmonella in dog treats, and undeclared nuts in ice cream, to name a few.

Don’t leave it to chance that you’ll hear about something important — Whystle makes sure of it.

With Whystle as your eyes and ears, you can rest easy. Be the first to know, and spread awareness to family and friends who might be affected.

Whystle was founded by Lauren Bell, a Harvard Law School-educated former federal prosecutor and mother of four. At the U.S. Department of Justice, Lauren prosecuted companies for unsafe products. She saw firsthand the importance of staying up-to-date on product safety information for her children. She founded Whystle so that she could use her expertise to help others keep their families safe too.

Nice Surprise

I downloaded Whystle with a tinge of apprehension. I am a senior citizen and mistakenly assumed the app would target the issues of a younger generation. After hearing friends talk and reading good reviews regarding the app, I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, I have greatly benefitted from using this fantastic tool. I have a dog and check the app daily about food recalls for animals as well as food and medicine recalls and safety products for my husband and myself. It has been my experience that recalls are listed on the app before they are announced on social media! I highly recommend this app to younger couples with children as well as to senior citizens... Download will not be sorry.

I found this app not only gives you great recall information but seems to be days ahead of alerting you before any other system puts it out there! News other apps that inform you but days later! So how safe is that for you and your family? With all the Recalls that’s happening now days you really need to download this app! It’s that plane and simple what do you have to loose like the people who put this great app out there it is now Free!! I recommend this app and hope you download it now today!! Thanks to the people who put this out there a 5 Star app without a doubt.

All parents should have this

As a father of twins I would recommend this app to all parents. It keeps me updated with all health, safety news/reviews and recalls. There was a food product (I would not name that here) which was harmful for kids stomach and I was not aware of that. One day I was checking app and I saw a potential health risk due to that product. I was shocked to know that my kids are fond of that product. Now thanks to whystle, my kids stay healthy sand safe.
