Description
Desktops can be pretty boring, right? If you’ve ever tried to theme them, it’s usually straight out of a template. But that’s not Widgy.
With Widgy, your desktop becomes YOUR desktop. Create any widget you can imagine to perfectly match your style. Get all the info you need, exactly how you want it, without the clutter.
• Easy Widget Creation •
You don’t need to be a pro designer. Just know what you want, and let your creativity flow. Add an element, pick a data source, throw on some effects, and place it where you want. Repeat until your widget is perfect, then assign it to a slot and drop it on your desktop. Voila!
The Widgy editor is super simple with just two parts: the preview and the layer list. Edit a layer to tweak its appearance and data. The live preview shows exactly how your widget will look, so no more back-and-forth.
• Everything You Need •
Widgy has all the elements and data sources you could ever need, from system info to weather. Display your data as text, charts, or whatever you like.
• No Limits •
Forget templates. With Widgy, everything is 100% customizable. It’s your widget, your way. The only limit is your imagination.
• Easy Sharing & Discovering •
Share your creations with friends or the entire Widgy community in just a few taps. Use a URL, QR code, JSON data, or a file. You can even publish it in the Explore section for everyone to see.
Need inspiration? Check out thousands of widgets in the Explore section, or join the Reddit (r/Widgy) and Discord communities to see what others have created.
NOTE: Widgy optionally integrates with Apple Health. This integration is used to display your data if you select one of those widget types. Permission for Widgy to access this data is controlled through the Apple Health app.
As with Health, all other permissions for Widgy are optional and are there just to show you the data you want to be displayed.

Ratings and Reviews
Simply incredible
This app is as said, simply incredible. I never leave reviews for apps but for this I felt necessary. The ui and tools provided are extremely intuitive to use, it truly is like photoshop for widgets. If you don’t want to make your own widgets, there is a very well developed community in the explore tab on the app as well as on the Reddit page where thousands of talented designers can submit their designs for you to use in your set up. Not to mention that the developer is extremely accessible with in the Reddit page, and he truly listens to his community and implements features that the community wants. After messing around with the free version when I first got Widgy, I decided it was fully worth the money to buy the full version just to support the developer alone. This app is incredible and if you are debating honestly just do it. The amount of joy I’ve gotten out of just a widget app alone, creating and submitting my widgets to the community is outstanding, easily one of my favorite apps I’ve ever gotten.
A learning curve, but extensive possibilities
I really enjoy this app. I've tried out several custom widget makers and this one seemed the most extensive and user friendly. The free version allows you to place one lock and one home (I was able to use transparent background). And for a lot of people that may be enough, remember you can create more than one and switch them out. But I decided to buy the unlocked versions so I could place multiple lock screen widgets. I love that there's no subscription fee, just one time purchase. There's definitely a learning curve, the flexibility requires a lot of features. But it's worth the time and effort if you want a really custom widget. But the pre-made ones are great too if you don't want to take the time to create your own. My only issue is that with a tap action, the widget opens Widgy first, then the app stored as the tap action. If your tap action is a Shortcut, then it opens Widgy, opens Shortcuts, then opens the app. So Very Frustrating! Although I'm guessing it's an Apple restrictions rather than a Widgy programming error similar to Shortcuts. It would be nice if there was an option to remove any touch action from a widget, including opening Widgy.
Amazing app for customization
Like the title says. Widgy is the goat for customizing widgets and making your phone look unique. The amount of data available from your device is overwhelming at first but once you try you hand at making a couple or browsing the community made widgets it becomes pretty clear. My only real complaints are 1 the weather is very inaccurate. At least for me, It displays a temp that’s about 7-10 degrees off of my stock weather app. I could live with 2-3 but it’s a large gap to where I’d rather not use weather and use the stock weather app. Disappointing but not a real deal breaker for me. My second issue is with the “reminders” app. Although there are workarounds to display upcoming reminders, a cleaner easier way to select specific lists and display only that list would make this a 5 star app for me regardless of the weather issue. Overall I love the customization this app brings and the community on Reddit is huge for beginners. Love the app, hope it gets regular updates. If you like it, Support the devs so they can keep improving the app!
TLDR; Weather 7-10 degrees off of current location and reminders could use an update to select a specific list to display.
