Say “I do” to this dating marriage focused app!

I saw someone share a post on Facebook about a marriage minded dating app called Wifey I was like “let me check this out”. (The face of the app featured this beautiful brown woman in a wedding dress, just stunning) I was so impressed that someone created a space for women and men who are specifically dating for marriage. I’ve tried other dating apps and i was completely turned off when I realized I was looking for something long term on apps that are all about hookup culture. I’m trying to be somebody’s wife, so delete. Lol I’m going to take a leap of faith and be open to online dating again. I want to be a great wife to a man i can respect. So i downloaded The Wifey App which was very easy to navigate & made a profile. You never know, I may just meet my husband.

Update: The childish response to my review and to other critical reviews is disappointing. Instead of personal attacks on your users, please try to use the feedback to improve your platform. It’s also unwise to disparage your consumers instead of trying to earn that business back. Successful app developers understand that basic customer service is an important part of building a business. Future users who read these mean spirited responses to bad reviews will be turned off. If you feel mocking people for using dating apps is appropriate, maybe you’re in the wrong business. Anyway congrats on your new app. Best of luck.

This is a good concept but it’s just disappointing. The site makes you take a verification selfie in order to post your profile. Great way to prevent catfishing but 90% of the profiles don’t have the verification pic!?! Why give the catfish a loophole? Also I found that there were only about 7 prospects in my area (Dallas) which is pretty low compared to Bumble where I scroll through dozens of nearby matches daily. I deleted this after a week.

Sir, your complaint is that a brand new app, the wifey app, only had 7 prospects in your area, Dallas. Is that a reasonable complaint to make towards a brand new app that launched less than a week ago? To add insult to injury, you also mentioned the name of another dating app in your review that's been established much longer. Thank you for your prophetic message that our reasonable response to your unreasonable review will turn users off , despite the actual data disagreeing with you. This is especially meaningful since you are obviously successful in what turns people on and off by evidence of your decades long usership of dozens of dating apps - to no avail. Your other complaint is about the verification picture process. This feature was voted in by our high quality members, thus your disagreement of this feature is not something we are wavering on. Lastly, we are not in the business of panhandling for any and everybody's business. The Wifey app was designed for a specific niche quality of marriage minded individuals; more specifically we seek hard working male users who gain their sense of pride and success from working hard and producing in the marketplace, so they don't have to resort to being an anonymous review bully to desperately feel a sense of power they failed to capture in the real world being a builder, producer, and provider.

We are not mocking people for using dating apps sir, as our response stated we do not desire the type of users who are serial daters, looking for random hook ups, predators, or preys of several dating apps at the same time looking for victims to hurt. We are in the business of connecting quality marriage minded people together who are serious minded.


First Response to review:

Verification photos are required in order for users to gain full access to features. Yes, users may create their profile before taking a verified photo but they won't have full access to features until they take their verification photo. ''90%'' is a reach. Most of our users are verified. Thus, potential cat fish don't have a ''loophole''.

The Wifey App launched less than a week ago from the date of your review. As more users join the marriage prospects will increase for app users. As for you mentioning other apps having lots more prospects in your area, please be mindful that the Wifey App promotes quality over quantity. The Wifey App isn't designed for hook ups, serial daters, or individuals that prey on several dating apps simultaneously looking for minds to manipulate and hearts to break. We seek users who are genuine and marriage minded, as oppose to many other dating apps.

Pen pals with paid subscription?!

So I have no matches in my area currently, but I am enjoying meeting people and talking to others, mainly from another country, but after sending a few msgs, I get a notice, must upgrade to read or send any further msgs to anyone/everyone? Is this a time/response limit per day, or is this app no longer valid for talking to anyone after one day of talking to others that currently only matches in another country away? At least offer a free trial for a period of time right? I just need to know if I am already at a point where I have to pay to contact anyone after one day of using the app, because at this point, I’d rather just have a chance that I’ll bump into my future wife naturally. I have better odds she’s not paying to just talk to potentials too. Basically with out local matches the app should be called pen pals with paid subscription.
