Awesome with some growing pains

Very cool idea for an app. Checking emails is normally an annoying part of my day, but checking my email to plant trees makes the whole thing a little better.

The app has very cool features too, such as knowing where the trees you’ve “earned” are planted in the world, or the INCREDIBLY useful feature that shows you chunks of mail you never respond to and haven’t deleted, and then lets you delete them.

This app is still in its infancy, so there are admittedly some things they’re trying to still work out, such as sending emails (which works 90% of the time), which they are actively working on. That brings me to a very cool part of this whole service though, which is that you can email them about problems, and they will actively try to fix them and talk to you about them. I can’t think of a single time that’s happened for anything else, and it shows that these people are trying very hard to make this app great.

Overall, I definitely recommend trying this app out, if you’re good to roll with some of bumps that happen in an app’s infancy.

Wonderful concept!

I've been using Wildhero for a few days now, and I already love it. Between the junk/mail subscription filters that allow you to unsubscribe and delete in a single click and the customizability of the whole app, it would even hold its own without its tree-planting mission. I've remained a loyal user of Ecosia for over five years, and Wildhero has a similar construction, allowing you replace one of your mindless daily habits with a sustainable alternative.

There are two minor things that I think could make Wildhero even better; the ability to set "all inboxes" instead of "inbox" as the default whenever you open the app, and the ability to select/select all emails that result from a search by clicking their icons. (in the Gmail-adjacent version)

Again, these points are pretty trivial. Thank you so much for putting in the work to make such a great app!

this app is a really cool idea! It’s just like Gmail, but it plants trees with ads.
