The app exclusively for Willow® Pump Generations 1 and 2. Meet Willow, the world’s first quiet, all-in-one in-bra wearable breast pump. Completely mobile and hands-free, totally life-changing.

The Willow Generation 1 & 2 app is the first app that tracks milk flow in real time to let you know how much milk you’re producing. The app is for use exclusively with the Willow Wearable Breast Pump Generations 1 & 2.

REAL-TIME DATA: As Willow works inside your bra, the Willow app helps you keep tabs on your pumping progress. The app shows you how much milk you’ve pumped and how long you’ve been pumping on each side. It also displays your current phase and suction level, and lets you know when it’s time to charge the pump.

ALERTS + NOTIFICATIONS: The app sends personalized tips to help you get the most of pumping, and updates to tell you what’s happening while you pump. Turn on push notifications to stay informed even when you’re not in the Willow app.

HISTORY: Your entire pumping history is available in the app, so you can start to discover patterns in your milk production and meet your breastfeeding goals.

VIDEOS + HELP: How-to videos walk you through pumping with Willow, and troubleshooting tips help you along the way.

Started Great - Then Issues Upon Issues

I really wanted to love this pump but after 2 months of exclusively pumping it’s just not what I hoped for. It’s the app that appears to be the problem. At first it was just that the app didn’t show the proper amount for some sessions on the left breast only. It would say 5 ounces when I’d only pumped maybe 2. And would stop pumping because it was “full” when it was clearly not.

Then the problems became routine and now they are with every session. Ive been working with customer support and have reset the pumps, power cycled my phone, used new flex tubes, new containers (that cost me $70 to express ship) and used both containers and straight-to-bag flanges. Nothing makes a difference. At this point I have to force close the app maybe 5-6 times to get an accurate-ish reading. Although as I write this the app is saying my left pump expressed in this session alone 35 ounces of milk. I assure you that’s not the case (I’ve gotten maybe 3 ounces).

It’s becoming more and more irritating and it appears to me that there s something wrong with the left pump itself (not just the app).

I’ve been using my Willow pump alongside the app for over 6 months now, and I’m so thankful I was able to get my hands on one. I used a traditional pump setup for my first, and as soon as I learned of Willow I knew I needed it for my second. I’m a working mom and do 3 12 hour shifts as an RN every week. I love having 4 days off to spend with my kids, but getting in enough pump sessions during such long workdays was challenging the first time around, and having the opportunity to do it right this time was wonderful. I have so much less to carry around, am not tethered to an outlet, and am able to walk around and catch up on charting while actively pumping. It’s nearly silent, I’ve pumped on conference calls, on planes, and in movie theaters. It’s small enough to tuck into my purse, and being able to pump into the bags directly reduces the amount of accessories you need to lug around with you substantially. The app has progressed as I’ve used it and works alongside the pumps to tell you exactly how much you’re pumping in real time, and keeps a log of your daily totals and battery power, too. Once you get the hang of using the Willow, it’s a breeze. It’s saved me so much time and there’s not much better than that when you’re a mom. Highly recommended!

A revelation!

This pump is a revelation. I’ve been giving PSAs in my mommy-and-me classes. It’s what the first iPhone was to cell phones. A complete game changer. No part is taken for granted. There isn’t a single Medela funnel from 1960 in sight. They really started from scratch and thought through what women actually need and what our lives are like. It’s expensive but I think this is the first generation and all I want to do is support them so it gets cheaper over time and available to more people. I’m fairly sure the Willow was actually designed by women who have pumped before- so that’s a first. I thought I would only use it in the car in between meetings but I also use it cooking or around the house so I can play with my older child instead of wasting time alone attached to tubes and cords.

The app needs work. It covered the basics at first. Lately it stops counting the time or freezes info on one side or both. Pretty annoying. The app should really be a home for all pumping and new baby activities and work well.

All and all- totally worth it and I highly recommend it for any mom on the go. Also the support staff and training program is really great.
