Description
Simple yet powerful app from a pilot to pilots.
This application can calculate actual wind while you are flying.
If your aircraft doesn't have modern glass cockpit instruments than this application is for you. You can determine the actual wind, drift angle, true air speed and ground speed, while cruising.
Enter Calibrated Air Speed, Altitude and OAT data and application will calculate TAS for you, alternatively enable "Manual TAS Input" mode and just enter TAS data.
Also you can use this application in "Simulation Mode" as a E6B computer while you are not flying by enabling "Simulation Mode" and entering Track and Ground Speed data.

Intermittent
This app would be AWESOME if it worked. I’m sure it’s me, but the app only functioned correctly once. I love the idea of him putting the basics and having the app grab the rest of the data to collect TAS. However that only happened once, the rest of the time it fails to do any of the math in HSI mode.
Even being completely intermittent I would give this app a five star rating but it gets a one star because there is no way to contact the developer for questions which is highly inappropriate.
Looks good, works as advertised
I am a flight instructor, I saw this app and it looked like an interesting concept. The app now appears to be operational following what the author called a "minor fix". Appears to have been a "major fix" because it's gone from nonoperational to operational. It is a well designed app. I will add another star if the author decides to provide an internal magnetometer option. (I realize this requires a fixed mount, and that the iPhone magnetometer is at times inaccurate, but as an option, it would be a great addition)
Poor instructions
The graphics aren't bad but you are just magically supposed to know how to use it. There are no instructions
