  • Great product

Edit April 2017, developers are releasing new features fairly often and my sensors are working with relatively little issues. Still happy with the system! If you like data and smart home automation...this app and the sensors are great for just that!Edit June 2016: my review below was answered VERY quickly. The developers added every detail that I requested. I am very happy and appreciate the responsiveness! My next request is for additional smart control products to be supported such as the TP link wifi switches. Also I would like to see a waterproof reed sensor and PIR sensor.April 2016:Looking for a new feature to be added. I would like the ability to swipe on a notification on the lock screen and a "pause for an hour" button appears. Ideally the time frame could be configurable for each sensor. Also this button should be available on the Apple Watch when the notification appears there. Also another button (I believe you can do two) to disarm the sensor for a configurable amount of Time as well. This way I can stop notifications if I am in/out of the back door, during a specific time period or disarm the tag from affecting other smart items in the house.I really hope this is a feasible feature that can be added. Thanks

Not as much customization as i thought there would be. Light sensor will not change from 30 second update. Doesnt seem to be any way to actually force the sensors to report at and only at the intervals i want them to. “Turning off” things like temp or humidity doesn't actually turn it off. Not very many kumo apps to choose from. Especially light sensor related. Iv searched everywhere for help on writing my own but so far can not find anything close to any kind of tutorial or anything showing even basic commands or how to use them. Tried using a java checker but even working apps throw errors as far as normal java is concerned i guess. So im not sure how to go about learning.I am making due and getting done basically what i need done, but with help of manual timers in conjunction with this system. So, nice work on all this and i really hope to see improvement

I bought two 13 bit tags to monitor temperature. To calibrate I put them in a plastic bag and dunked them in ice slush. Took them 30 minutes to stabilize at near 32. I set them both the same at 32.6 because figured that was probably right for my setup. Ice point is hard to get to 32 outside of a lab. They adjust to rising temperatures much quicker than falling temperatures. Between 40 to 75 degrees they agree within 1/2 degree with each other and within 1-1/2 degrees of two low cost electronic thermometers. That is very good. After 3 weeks batteries still above 93%. Looking forward to using the Kumo app features. Humidity seems to track with my Nest. I haven't tested motion. The app is OK for my use but I think most people would find it confusing to set the tags up. But then the app and tags are a bit beyond the average person's needs.

  • Great app & system

I use this to moniter my house when I travel abroud, because a while ago my water heater started to leak. Luckily I caught the leak a couple of minutes after it started, limiting the damage. Because of that, I use this system to warn me, when I'm not home. It is also very reasonable priced, when you compare a 20$ sensor to 100s if not 1000s of dollars of damage, it makes it worth it. I also enjoy the long battery life. The app does logout after a while, and it doesn't offer email support which would be nice, so if an alarm is triggered you would be pushed an email no matter whether you have the app open or not. Also, it would be nice to have customizable alerts sound. Overall it makes me feel safe to leave my house, confident it'll be the same when I come back.

We're using these to monitor the temperature in our kids' bedrooms. With temps so high here in Texas in the summer, the app has notified us when the temp got up to 80 degrees Fahrenheit and we needed to lower the AC. It's comforting to know we have an alert for the possibility of the AC failing. We also have a tag in the freezer. Our fridge is getting older and the appliance guy let us know the whirring motor may be near the end of its life. With our freezer full of breast milk, I feel better knowing the tag will alert us if it dies overnight. It's already pinged us for leaving the door open too long while loading groceries. We're barely scratching the surface of their functionality, and already they have been so helpful.

  • Great Functionality - Fridge Temperature Monitoring

With a child that requires refrigerated medicine for his condition, we needed something to monitor refrigerator temperature and notify us if out of specified range. (We lost 2 doses of medicine due to refrigerator issue and also power outage while we were away). This product constantly and accurately reports temp and also reports if it cannot communicate with wireless router via text, app notification, email, etc. Other functionality is available but we use as noted above as primary purpose.
