Here are some ideas to improve gameplay and last one is a request of mine’s and a suggestion for the developer.

To make the bot show no mercy that you can press a setting that says “no mercy” and will make the bot play with no mercy for the players skill and Elo rating. And that it will brutally destroy you at all costs. This will help us all to play more. I like how strong the bot is on this one especially when it does very aggressive beginner moves that really throws me off in gameplay. But I wish it could show no mercy and be just as difficult as showing no mercy. This will make everyone if Elo 100 to 3,000 to play better and to think more wisely. Because the bot will Show “No Mercy” it does not care whether you are good or bad it will destroy you instantly! And lastly what I mentioned in the statement above my request to the creator of this amazing game to make the better version of chess through Hexagon chess 3D. It will be amazing to see a (91 Hex Cell) hexagonal chess board game with both versions of Hexagon chess and all other possible variants of Hexagon Chess. Please and Thank you!!!

This games development is great! Gameplay is smooth, graphics are amazing, and the whole thing is just done really well. I immediately chose to pay the $1.99 to unlock all the features. It’s worth if for all the work the developer has put into this. I know this is an indie game, and I hope the developer reads these reviews. The only things I’d like to see are more piece and board options. I’d even pay for some extras, like more board locations and themes. I’d love to see different chess pieces such as Greek, Norse, Roman, & Egyptian soldiers. Even just build out the bodies of the current models to make live soldiers instead of just skeletons. You wouldn’t even have to model new animations or voices. You could keep those the same and add new ones as you had time. All in all, this will be my go to chess app for entertaining chess matches. Looking forward to more.

I have been looking for an updated version of Battle Chess for years. This one is even better than the original. Even the title screen is entertaining. The graphics are fantastic, the dialogue is hilarious, and as far as I can tell, the AI is intelligent (for fairness I have to say, I like to win so I haven’t gone above “normal” mode).

It only takes $1.99 to unlock all features, and the developer definitely earned at least that for the care put into the game. I’ve only been playing it a couple of weeks and there have been several updates that have each improved what is already a very tight game.

I’m not a serious enough chess player to evaluate the quality of the AI game play, but for pure entertainment while improving your chess play, or learning to play, I’ve yet to see its equal.
