Best of the Word Games

I've been a Scrabble player for many years and and thought that when it came time to play online that I would be playing the official game as well. Unfortunately the online game had a few shortcomings so I tried Words With Friends, but that came up even shorter. Too time consuming waiting for all the cute little graphics and sound effects. Then someone told me about Wordfeud and I have been hooked ever since. Going on 7 years. I've been playing with one opponent for almost 6 of those years.. I've also joined the Wordfeud League of Honor which is international tournament play with a new season beginning every 2 weeks. They offer the tournaments in other languages as well.
My only problem with the game is that I can't quit playing. If you are a Wordsmith or think you are, then this game is for you.

Happy Anniversary Wordfeud

I’ve been playing regularly for about a year and a half. I began when my mom went into skilled nursing care so that we could play and chat with one another. This was the only game of this sort that I found compatible with both of our devices. She’s recruited some staff and additional family members to play too. She is able to chat with me through this app when her other messaging app was being contrary and that’s been a blessing on more than one occasion.
No 5 stars due to some words not being in the dictionary and in my experience it doesn’t keep accurate statistics. I’m not too into my stats (I lose a lot of games 🤓) but my mom notices and it prompts “why” this or or “why” that.... and I have no answers.
I was unable to visit my mom for about 2 months after our state COVID-19 quarantine but this app allowed us a lil fun with one another till visits could resume. Thank you!

The Best of The Bunch

Great game. Love the simplicity and the lack of annoying, childish glitz that Scrabble now features. So, how could Wordfeud be improved? First (and most important), reduce the turn time from 72 hours to 24 hours. 72 is insane and there are some players who intentionally drag out games, hoping the opposition will forfeit. Second, allow us to vet players before we play them, like Scrabble used to do - also, don’t force us to “accept” or “reject” immediately when a player wants to have a rematch. Allow us the ability to eliminate that screen and think about it.
Finally, the letter distribution algorithm is sometimes incredibly frustrating. Lately, I’ve been getting racks full of consonants for almost the entire game. Seems very calculated, not random.
Oh, one more thing - please make the letters on played blank tiles red. They’ll be so much easier to find on the board. Thanks! Big fan!
