Description
In WordsBy2, you pick tiles, and then place them on the board to form a single word. But look out! your opponent is trying to use the same letters to spell their own word! Are you going to battle it out, or cooperate to begin with , and swoop in for the kill?
WordsBy2 is a game of quick turnarounds. That's thanks to its unique, powers-of-two scoring system. Each letter that lengthens the word is double the value of the last one. But letter scores can be split! so you never know who the winner will be until the final tile is placed!
Every letter placed has to be part of a word in WordsBy2's built in dictionary. Extra points are awarded whenever you spell a complete word
WordsBy2 lets 2 players who can read and spell at a grade 5 level, compete in a fast-moving, fun and challenging competition. Or you can play in solo mode, and in online tournaments.
It can also help English learners expand their vocabulary; and online tournaments are coming in Q1 2022.
What’s New
Version 4
We've added an aggressive new twist on scoring; when you get a new word, the points are doubled; and as long as you keep placing tiles that form a word, the bonus multiplies! It makes for high scoring, super fun games, both solo and in tournament mode.
In tournament mode, you can now play up to ten games on a single sign-in, getting rid of the irritating need to go back to the site to rejoin the tournament after each game.
And the rack will only allow you to have one of any letter in it at any time! Makes letter-hoarding strategies more challenging!
