Nice app works like the widget

April 12 The American Civil War is there, so is the Japan attacking Pearl Harbor in WWII. I got it today September 19th 2009 six things happened this day (I compared it to the Mac widget). In order to see all six you have to slide your finger sideways (left and right). It's a little misleading. There should be arrows or something to let people know there was more history on a particular day. Still it's nice app that works well.

Okay app on iPhone

This is an okay app on the iPhone, but is so much better on the iPad. Besides a much richer graphical interface, on the iPad there will often be a link related to an event in history.

For example, today (June 23) is when the Taft-Hartley Act became law in 1947. On the iPad, the words "Taft-Hartley Act" link to a short article within the app which explains it. The iPhone app lacks that. Overall, though, it's useful and worth a buck.
