Ratings and Reviews
Nice informative app for travel or study!
This program isn't meant to be a GPS or Google Maps, but more of a portal to get specific information and pictures about different countries and cities. It helped me out a lot in gaining information about Ecuador, which I am traveling to very soon and knew absolutely nothing about. And it selected my default location correctly with no issues, so maybe that was a bug that has been worked out by the developers since the last few reviews. The only thing that would make this program better is if it provided current and up-to-date information on restaurants, hotels, night life, locations of interest for each location one does a query on. Overall, not a bad little program being that it's free!
For travel, or if you’re simply interested in learning about the demographics and points of interest of a particular place, this app works! It has a blend of text and pictures with lots of links to get further information if your inclined.
Pictures of places from my childhood in early 60
I wanted to see how much Prestwick Scotland had changed since my childhood in the early 60's. Indeed in many ways it had changed but in many ways it was still the same. I was able to see where we lived and it was an old house then, so it really is old now. The ancient church and the cemetary was still there as I expected it to be along with our boyhood friends house. But where the golf course once was, there is now homes and since the Air base was closed it has now become an International Airport. Prestwick was a beautiful town then and it still is now. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the pics of landmarks that I remember from my pre-teen years.
