World Tennis Tour Live 4+

The old ITF Pro Circuit app was one of my favorites, Information was clear, legible, and easy to find. With the update all of this is gone. I can hardly read the information ... The print is too small and data seems to be all over the place. I don’t even know where to look. Information overload! I want my old app back!

This app has so many issues it’s hard to remember then all to write down. The ITF should be embarrassed that they have allowed it to be this bad. A simple app developer can come in and revamp this thing in a week and fix everything but instead they’ve allowed this app to carry on for years not functioning properly.

Most days I use the app it gets to a point where it force closes itself once you open it. Once this starts happening there is no way to use it for the rest of the day.

Beyond that major issue, scores often flash back a whole set. So you will be watching a match deep in the third set and then all of a sudden in starts showing 2-1 in the first set. Then a match will finish, it will say completed and it was say 6-3, 3-6, 3-0 completed. But it won’t be a retire because I was watching it as it was 5-2 in the third but it will finish and show an old score as the final.

On top of those major issues it is just downright slow. It lags like crazy. Most of the time I’m moving a king matches and it freezes and I know now that I just have to wait until I can move again (usually takes 3-5 seconds) to keep looking for my match. I must be the only person still using this app because the ITF takes no initiative to fix any of this for the last 5 years so my guess is they only have 1 user on the app.

Either way, it’s an embarrassment to tennis and the ITF.

The good is it works well and provide ITF level match score and other information for live matches. However, not a big fan of the format to the other match and player information. Previous app was easier to get to players drawsheet and tournament info. But it’s available if you start clicking to learn where this and more information offered. I find I’m using the updated app less often though and instead go to ITF website on my cell phone. The app isn’t just for live scoring and should be formatted for easy access to the ITF tournament info.
