Description
Many of us go through hard times on our own. We struggle to come out to our parents. We aren’t sure how to be out at work. We grow up in or we move to places that aren’t accepting—places where we feel targeted and vulnerable. We shouldn’t have to go through these experiences alone.
The Worthy Mentoring App makes it easier for members of the LGBTQ+ community to navigate these hard times by connecting mentees with mentors who have shared similar experiences.
Worthy Mentors are required to complete a detailed application process to be approved to join the Worthy Community. This process includes our mentors answering questions about themselves and why they would like to join the Worthy Community, and completing a background check. We review every mentor’s application before allowing anyone to join the Worthy Community.
After signing up, a Worthy Mentee decides which topics are important to them to discuss with a mentor. Mentees can then connect with mentors for support, guidance, and friendship around those important topics.
Worthy Mentoring is currently only available for mentors and mentees 18+, though we hope to expand to everyone soon.

Amazing App and Idea
I highly recommend downloading this app if you are questioning your sexuality, would like to help people who are, or are any LGBT person in between. It’s a great way to connect with someone new, ask questions, help people, and make new friends in the process. This is the app that the LGBT community has needed but never had.
Amazing experience with a great idea!
I heard about Worthy through a friend and immediately appreciated the terminology used within their profile page setup. It’s not often you feel included in the conversation being in the queer community, so my first impressions were pretty good. Love my experience so far, excited to grow and find out more about myself and mentor.
