Description
Worthy Mentoring empowers the LGBTQ+ community in coming out and being out. Through this app, struggling queer individuals have a safe space to connect with vetted, verified, and trained mentors specific to their queer journey. Many mentees sign up for advice on how to come out to family and friends, for help reconciling their faith with their sexuality or gender identity, for guidance on navigating the workplace as a queer person, or just to talk to someone like them. Digital platforms to explore your identity and sexuality have historically been either romantically charged or dedicated to crisis intervention. Worthy Mentoring removes the stigma, isolation, and predatory environment that often defines coming out in the digital space and coming to better understand, accept, and love yourself as a unique member of the LGBTQ+ community.
