WoWdb is a World of Warcraft database app. It lets you search for items, quests, achievements, quests, and more, view details and stats for them, and shows comments from Wowhead.
Rebuilt the app from the ground up and added a ton of new features!
• You can now see details about items, quests, bosses, dungeons, raids, mounts, pets, and more
• You can now search for spells; it's a bit messy right now, cause too much data but improvements are coming
• New and improved search; works like a real search engine now and is typo tolerant
• Comments from Wowhead are more readable now. Links to items, quests, etc, are now clickable
There's still limitations on what data is available from Blizzard's APIs, but I'm working on improving it all the time. If you'd like to know more about the tech, read more at https://designplox.com/blog/building-wowdb
Ratings and Reviews
Only slightly useful
It runs smoothly but by only displaying the basic info and comments it makes it really limited in the reasons to use it. It might help you find a monster or how to pick up an item you are searching for but won’t give you a list of drops, contents or sellers of specific items. Being able to access any of the other options on top of comments from WoWhead would make it a much more reasonable app. I still might use it to try and find certain mobs and items if the the comments would be the best way to do so.
Only Shows Wowhead comments
The app allows you to search for all of these things, yes. However, the app only allows you to view the comments from Wowhead. It doesn’t display any actual data about things that are searched.
With the announcement of classic release in summer 2019, I suggest you implement a toggle for data search from classic wowhead instead of regular wowhead(or maybe just another app altogether).
Sorting comments by anything other than rating is a feature absent from this app as well. Try to reduce the size of the header(after searching).
Rest of the app is aesthetic and functional. Would change my rating to 5 stars if you can make the classic toggle happen.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
