Ratings and Reviews
I have done most of my banking via mobile apps, and my experience with this one has been disappointing. The basics (checking transactions, transferring between accounts, paying credit card bills) work fine, but other functions don’t work well, or at all (the branch and ATM search feature, mobile deposits for some). It’s also missing functionality I’ve come to expect from modern banking apps like push notifications (text message notifications are always delayed by hours), budgeting tools, etc. The entire app in general screams “outdated” with functionality and appearance that would have felt at home on an iPhone from nearly a decade ago. iPhones with larger, higher resolution screens have been out for more than a year now, and the latest update for this app came out a year before THAT. I really hope an update is in the works. As someone so reliant on mobile banking, BECU is starting to look better and better every time I open this app.
Wsecu and I have been together so long it is my best friend even now I live no longer in the West but on the east coast farthest southeast town of Mass. No credit union or bank here where I’ve live, including Harvard’s credit union when I worked there after WSU can even compare to WSECU. It’s a phenom! Whatever it does is always light years ahead of financial institutions here, none are truly trustworthy. Not even Boston’s own Wall Street of sorts called State Street. Compared to Wsecu, none of them are as good as WSECU. It’s people are real, always and for me, it’s a wonderful long-distance relationship by phone. It has stuck with, through so much thick and thin, it deserves me to have more money in my account than it does so it can keep helping single-parents and their kids through life and accomplishments. Without WSECU my son would not be the thriving young man he is today at 30. He’s been a member since he was 6 living on the Palouse. If the credit union could see him now they’d say wow, he’s amazing. It helped me get him to amazing. We Heart WSECU, it is a member of our family so so long.
Mobil deposit and camera issue
Was happy with the app until I had to get a new IPhone due to a microphone issue, the new phone will not allow access to the camera for mobile deposit, I am thinking about moving my business account to WSECU, but without having the mobile deposit feature I’m hesitant to switch banks at this point due to living 30 minutes from the nearest WSECU or any shared branch. I was told by WSECU that there is no fix in progress for the current app and that there is an entirely new platform for the mobile banking due out the first part of 2019. Frustrating at best!
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
