WSMC Public Radio App:

The WSMC Public Radio App allows you to listen to WSMC live, pause and rewind the live audio, and view the program schedule all at once! You can explore On Demand content, search for stories, and wake up to WSMC with the alarm clock!

Live Streaming
• DVR-like controls (pause, rewind, and fast forward). You can pause the live stream to have a conversation and pick up right where you left off! Or rewind to catch a comment or piece you just missed!
• Listen to WSMC even while traveling! Start the app and your favorite station starts playing – no clicks to start listening.
• An integrated program schedules allows you to see the schedules for all of your favorite programs.
• Listen to WSMC in the background while browsing the web or catching up on your emails!

On Demand
• Access public radio programs from WSMC easily and quickly.
• DVR-like controls. Pause, rewind and fast forward your program with ease.
• Easy to access past programs.
• The WSMC Public Radio App displays the web page associated with the program or story segment you are listening to On Demand so you can explore for more information.

An Old Friend

As a teenager in the late 70s, I discovered WSMC on the radio and it fed my growing love for great music. Eventually I moved away from the area and no longer had access to my favorite station. Now with this app, I can once again listen to what is, in my opinion, one of the great radio stations in the whole country. Unlike most other “public” radio stations, WSMC has avoided the drift into all talk, news, and opinion (which is available in so many places) and has stuck to offering food for the soul in the form of great and timeless music (which has become harder and harder to find). Hats off to WSMC to staying true to its original mission and for offering music that

My city used to have a classical music radio station, but it gradually transformed into more of a news station. I love this app because now I can once again listen to classical music in the car! It’s good for studying too. It’s not glitchy at all, and you can see the list of songs they play every day on their website.

Great app!

So thankful for this app - it allows me to listen on demand, which is great because I’m not always able to be near a radio. Most music readily available these days are filled with so much nonsense, so it’s great to have this at my fingertips. Also glad to have all the updates and news, too!
