WWNO Public Radio App:
The WWNO Public Radio App allows you to listen to WWNO, pause and rewind the live audio, and view the program schedule for WWNO all at once! You can explore and listen to On Demand content whenever you want, share stories with your friends and wake up to WWNO with the alarm clock!
Live Streaming
• DVR-like controls (pause, rewind, and fast forward). You can pause the live stream to have a conversation and pick up right where you left off! Or rewind to catch a comment you just missed!
• Listen to live streams from WWNO even while traveling! Start the app and your favorite station starts playing.
• Integrated program schedules for the WWNO streams!
• One click stream switching – flip over to the program you noticed on another stream with a single click.
• Listen to WWNO in the background while browsing the web or catching up on your emails!
On Demand
• Access WWNO’s past programs easily and quickly.
• DVR-like controls. Pause, rewind and fast forward your program with ease.
• When listening to programs, individual segments (when available) are listed so you can review and choose one or listen to the entire program.

Thank goodness….
… we have public radio in general and, our own WWNO in particular, to keep our news and information balanced, informative, well-researched, beautifully dialogued and factual. So important in these days of ‘baseless opinion reported as fact.’ Whether international, national or local, NPR listeners are informed. (And entertained with classical and jazz.) WWNO chooses programming thoughtfully. Bravo! Proud to be a long time sustaining member of the station.
Very Inconsistent Lately
I work from home and listen to the WWNO app all day, during my work day. I have done this for many years. On weekends, while driving, I also stream shows like Weekend Edition, Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me, RadioLab and This American Life. I stream in my car because the radio station signal is not always clear in rural St. Tammany and Washington parishes.
Lately, last 3 months or so, the app drops out of the blue or it buffers, for ever.
In frustration, I have turning to the WRKF app to stream Public Radio.
Please address this app issue.

This app is awesome! I can listen to what's happening in New Orleans from anywhere in the country. I can listen to great classical or great jazz anytime of the day. Best of all I can listen to all things considered or morning edition in real time.
