The XFINITY WiFi Hotspots app for iOS is available exclusively for XFINITY Internet customers and contains WiFi security features to improve your safety and privacy while using certain XFINITY WiFi hotspots around town. The app also automatically connects you to XFINITY WiFi hotspots when in range. It makes it easy to find XFINITY WiFi hotspots with enhanced search tools and directions.

Features:

• Automatically connect to XFINITY WiFi, including secure hotspots where available
• "Near Me" locates all nearby XFINITY WiFi hotspots
• View maps and lists of hotspots, with walking and driving directions
• Create and save your favorite hotspots for easy reference later
• View the business name of hotspot locations and filter by business category
• Download hotspot locations for offline use

• A WiFi enabled device running iOS 10.0 and up
• XFINITY Internet service (Performance tier and above)

Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease battery life. The XFINITY WiFi Hotspots app is optimized to stop GPS use automatically when you are stationary. To disable GPS in the XFINITY WiFi Hotspots app: On your device go to iOS Settings / XFINITY WiFi / Location and select ‘While Using the App’. Some functionality in the app may no longer be available.

Happy Wfi ,

Less than one star

I'm all in when it comes to Xfinity. I've been with them for over 10 yrs as well as referred several+ people to switch/or become a customer of Xfinity/Comcast. This app "Hotspots" is the one thing that I just don't get what the problem is
After the last couple days of literally driving from place to place EXACT locations..I can't get anything/any connection. I've been doing this for the last year or so & realized finally today it's not me or my device/s(thinking it was an iPhone thing?) It's the app is this normal? As in FAKE?..Im truly asking b/c I have spent an incredible amount of time driving from 500 ft away to the next town over. Even the library today. Yesterday I drove to each place in my area all 3 & nothing...except a private residence that it said to pull over & walk 150 ft. There's a huge electric gate? How does this work? U contract with them who have accts w/ u & then allow "us" YOUR customers who pay to have access to "millions" of hotspots...but all I get is unable to connect to xfinitywifi" even a yr & a half it was a tiny bit better took forever but every 1/10 would get 2/3 bars/signal strength. What's going on? If there's a way to fix this or give me advice please let me know. I'm not trying to give a bad review but I'm having a "bad" experience. If this app is just a scam pls let me know..only for the sole purpose..so I can stop trying & wasting A LOT of time energy & gas. Thank u very much.

Can’t log in (fixed)

I downloaded this app after someone showed it to me (I am a Comcast/xfinity customer), interested in where the nearest hotspots were, but it won’t even let me log in. I type in my email, password, and device name, hit the login button, and the app immediately crashes. Have tried probably 20 times with the same result. Have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the same issue. Will change my review once this gets fixed.

UPDATE:
I tried logging in without putting in a device name, and that happened to work. Weird solution, but hope it can help someone else out there with the same problem.

TWO WEEK NIGHTMARE IN NASHVEGAS

Two stars above in Lou of the last two weeks being the most horrible use of this hotspot finder app especially in Nashville and surrounding suburbs. The app would Constantly ask for password and 90% of the time a dialog box would ask what network I would choose the network that they say is legitimately Xfinity Id Press expanding and a dialog box would drop down saying unable to join Hotspot and occasionally it would hook with him unsecured network such as xfinitywifi or cable wifi. I very much rely heavily on my Xfinity Wi-Fi service since I am in a rideshare program. Therefore since I employee Xfinity to be my Wi-Fi and hotspot provider I will be updating hopefully tomorrow with much positive review. Because I deleted the app reinstalled everything from soup to nuts I assume it's been fixed since an update immediately followed the re installment. I need reliability, period. Respectfully, RSS
