Instructions for this powerful app?

I have 5 new LFP batteries, all with this BMS and bluetooth. It was not difficult to set up, but I needed help finding how to set the battery capacities. Simple to find the battery voltage, amps in or out, estimated SOC, temps, and some max and min numbers, and the cell voltages in comparison.
It seems amazingly powerful, with plenty of settings to tweak in the config mode. Do I trust all the default settings? I can find them.

But I can’t find a manual. There must be one, and it hopefully gives suggestions on how to utilize the power of the app.

total garbage

The most incapable app - just one simple thing is all we ask done correctly: Show CORRECT charge %

Can it do this? absolutely not. had 80 amp hours left, four hours later at 4 amps I have 0 amp hours, that is 80 amp hours gone in 4 hours. Every time I check my battery level it seems incorrect so I found that if I go to settings choose BMS > BMS Read > then change any setting and I mean any setting just a little, like turn off or on the Balancer or change the delta by 1 mv up or down does not matter this is all just to be able to "Write" the new settings > Return to main screen and *poof* the battery % and amp hours magically changes instantly. This is a constant failure to report actual capacity and lets face it this is one of the main reasons for the app and is why % of charge is shown first at the top all big like it is important, yet in reality this app is garbage and shows an Untrue % all the time.

Developer Response ,

This is not a bug of the app. The app displays SOC as reported by BMS. If you get unexpected values - talk to your BMS reseller, could be HW or Firmware problem.

Please fix the rating. The problem you are complaining is not related to the App.

Simply does not work

This app doesn’t do what it claims to do. Does not save configurations. There is an bug that prevents configuration upload to BMS. Unusable app. Posted about this on the developer’s GitHub, and like others have received no response. If you are here to get software to program a JBD BMS, save your money and get a uart communication box and program with JBD desktop app.

Update: I am posting this here after the developer’s request to describe the problem. I have posted this on the GitHub, but the developer ignored that.

I have read and saved the factory configuration from by BMS (JBD-SP04S034-L4S-200A-B-U). If I edit the values, then click save configuration, enter a configuration name, then click the file icon a new configuration is created. If I load the factory configuration again, then try to recall the new configuration I just created, the values have not been updated and default back to the original values.

Developer Response ,

Can you please explain the issue? As far we know there are no problems writing config. And if you do not like the app - you can still get refund from Apple.

Update: the save file function saves actual bms config. So if you just adjust an value without writing it into BMS - the current BMS value will be written into file, not the change one.

If you want to persist value in the config - write it first into bms and then save/create the file.
