Easy and simple XML Editor
If you are looking for an easy, lightweight and convenient xml editor, this is the right tool for you.
Editing a xml file is no rocket science anymore.
You don't need to have developer skills anymore to edit xml files. Don't be afraid.
Note: This is not an swiss army knife for XML.
There is no overhead with XPath and all that stuff.
This tool can open only well formed xml and it neither tells you what is wrong with the document nor repairs it.
For this puprpose you will need an expensive "swiss army knife" tool.
Just edit, rearrange nodes or create new xml documents.

Good Viewer but Incomplete
I wanted a decent heirarchacal viewer for XML and this works great for that. What truly irritates me is it will only open files with an literal ".XML" extension--that is silly since all text-based files could contain XML regardless of their extension. It does not open files dragged into it, even with the "correct" file extension. It does not have any way to expand or collapse sections; it's either all or nothing. It includes and "grays" out meta info, which is ok, but it cannot be customized, and cannot be hidden. Right-click only pops up over element name and not rest of row or value. That was all discovered in the first ten minutes.
Terrible for editing
sure, you can view it and it works ok.
But editing is terrible. Just try to select multiple items and you can't.
Delete an item and it will move up a row insted of down to the next one, making it impossible to delete a bunch of rows quickly. So you think you could move down to the bottom of the batch you would like to delete, but nope, delete one and when you click delete for the next one, nothing happens and your row loses focus.
Delete is a very important part of editing. So sad. Not really even worth 99 cents.
If it advertised itself as only a viewer, it works for that. But having numbered lines would really help out.
Interface is just not complete!
This program is darned near unusable. Evenutally I figured out how to use it - you have to right-click on the elements to do almost anything, though there are a few random inconsistent keyboard shortcuts. This is a textbook awful interface, and unless it is made intuitive and usable I would not recommend this program for any reason! Stick to a real text editor and be happy.
