Never showed seed phrase

I downloaded. Set up key. Then on to phrase set up. The phrase remained blurry. It never appeared and when I tried to tap the eye, it took me to the next step. I closed the app to try again. I deleted the app and downloaded it again. This did not resolve the issue. I again was never shown my phrase. The only option was to save it in iCloud which I did not want to do but had no choice. Didn’t realize that iCloud won’t show me the actual phrase and just stored an access password. I deleted the app to start again but now my phone number is registered and it won’t let me start again. I have no desire to store my crypto or Nft’s in this wallet when I cannot even get initial access to see my seed phrase to manually store it. I have also tried to find a way to contact help and it’s like going down a rabbit hole of clicking options with no place to write a message.

Terrible Security Experience

This wallet treats security like a cute joke. The process to backup the secret phrase is such a frustrating experience, giving you less than 10 seconds to write 24 words before it auto locks. To unlock and continue, you need to accept two agreement pages and then complete an incredibly annoying word puzzle. I’ve never taken a screenshot of a secret phrase, never considered it nor have I kept a digital copy or used a feature to backup to iCloud but this wallet had me so close to breaking those best practices out of pure frustration.

Curious how the “Backup to iCloud” button was right there every time it locked. More curious is how an agreement page they force you to accept instructed against creating a digital copy of your phrase in the first place.

Please don’t play games with security.

Note to the Maiar Browser Extension crew: it’s common knowledge that forcing people to conform to your individual ideas of security just incentivizes people to store their password on sticky notes they quickly paste to the front of their monitors…
