Have you ever dreamed of soaring the sky like a bird, circling on an invisible thermal and staying aloft just by your skills and the forces of natures?
Or are you already a glider pilot who looking for more funs while you're not flying?
Welcome to XtremeSoaring3D, one of the best soaring/flight simulation available for mobile devices. It captures the beauty, the excitement and the technology of the soaring sport.
Beside flying, the beauty of soaring sport is also the landscapes, the countrysides that we glide over. Therefore, we manage to integrate terrain data in this sim using high resolution satellite images and elevation. This resulted in a look real, beautiful landscapes with highly detail airport hangars and runways.
* Thermal lift and ridge-lift

Really good glider sim
I knocked off one star because there are a few problems. Navigation is a bit wonky, and altitude instruments in the gliders are all off. ASL should be identical to the aircraft ASL instrument.
France and Italy are very difficult at the start. No lifts anywhere near by after released from the tow. So you end up just landing way before ever getting a chance to get to a lift zone and gain any altitude.
These are not deal breakers. This is so far the best glider simulation currently available. A very nice start to this second version by a excellent developer. Looking forward to improvements, and additions. Alternate airstrips or airports would be great.
First flight is worth the money!
The thermals, winds and clouds felt realistic and interesting. For $5 it’s awesome. It would be awesome at a much higher price.
After soaring for quite a while, I got low and started planning my outlanding, but then caught a thermal and went back up to cloud base and even explored around the edges of the clouds.
When I decided to come down, the spoiler controls seemed backwards to me, but you can test out the proper direction. I was able to locate an airport and land. The screen limitation of only being able to look forward makes it necessary to really pay attention to your airport and judge the pattern carefully. I was able to bring it in to a good landing on the runway, and was a little disappointed that the brakes didn’t have any effect, as we rolled and rolled and rolled and rolled. But hey, that’s a small thing. I’m really glad I found this app, and hope the developers are happily continuing the project!
Does the Basics, Would Love More Options
As another reviewer wrote, the navigation is a little wonky in this sim but the flight models and graphics are great. It’s the best sparing sim I’ve found for iOS and keeps me busy on mornings when we get rained out at the club. More options in terms of sailplanes and locations would be welcome, although I’m not sure whether the developers are still updating this title.
