Drivers take home 100% of the fare, allowing riders to save dramatically. As seen in Forbes and NBC, we're a team of 20-somethings who didn't stop there. Being Gen Z kids, we built something for us. A cheaper rideshare that's integrated into your social life. See rides, where they're going, and make your move. Find events. Unlock deals based on where you ride. Here's the thing. 99% of Gen Z rides are headed to a social gathering. Yet we spend 1,000 fewer hours socializing in person than people did 20 years ago. Mobility is the unlock for IRL social. I downloaded Yelo because it was cheaper and that was enough for me to switch. Uber and Lyft’s price gouging are out of control, and do not make the college financial experience better by any means. Yelo comes in with a revolutionary idea behind ride shares - one that’s cheaper, social, and provides an accurate picture of what the move is. Essentially, it does a lot of that asking around “what’s the move tn” “where you guys going” and integrates directly into the rideshare experience itself, while being cheaper. Familiarize yourself with Yelo - it’s in it for the long run.

I have watched the creation of Desi from a distance, and it has been nothing but inspiring. This is a project created by a community to serve those around them. They know their customers. They know their values. If you are a college student who needs to get from A to B, Desi should be the first thing that pops into your mind. Once this gets rolling, there will be instant change. Either get in the Desi or get left on your dorm step. You don’t want to miss this.
This is not Uber.

This app has been a game changer for me. Rides are so much cheaper than uber, and every trip is enjoyable knowing that the driver is going to be another student and not some random person on another app. When I’m not going out, driving is such an easy way to make some spending money on my own schedule. The fact they take zero fees is insane and makes it worth while every time.
