Yelp: Food, Delivery & Reviews 12+

Yelp provides a great platform to share one’s thoughts on the businesses one visits. I love to compliment a business that is taking good care of its customers and I have also felt the need to share instances where an employee or business owner is rude or the quality of the food, or product, is not “up to par.” I do look what other people are saying about businesses I am considering visiting. Sometimes these reviews are helpful, and other times I come across reviews from “chronic complainers” who could not be satisfied no matter what a business does. These are fairly easy to spot since quite often they are complaining about something the business really can’t do anything about. I do get tired of the unsolicited ads for local restaurants since I have never visited any of them, all these years that I have had the Yelp app on my phone. However, I guess if I was ever driving by one, and was hungry, I might try one. Overall, I’m happy with Yelp. I do wish there was a way, and maybe there is, to delete all those unsolicited adds from my message board.

By far the worst , most unfriendly and unprofessional hair braiding salon I have ever been to in 20 yrs of getting my hair braided in various states over the years . Had a 9am appt .for kinky twists . When I got there I was told they didn’t have the hair go pick something else or go and get the hair somewhere else . I picked another style and the hair for it and then they told me to come back later because they bumped my appt …while I was standing there and gave my appt to someone else who was a walk in . I told them I had an appt and it was my birthday and I just wanted singles at this point . They said come back . Sorry . I came back an hour later and no one acknowledged my return . So I thought I’m not going to beg someone to take my $ 250 , but again I ‘needed my hair done so I sat and waited another two hours . I tried to buy a wig and was told even though it was on display I couldn’t buy it . I sat there about her two hours . They still wouldn’t do my hair . I was not nasty or mean but wanted to bust out in tears because I had been there twice before and was shocked by their treatment toward me this time around . I will NEVER go there again or refer them to anyone . I kept telling them I wanted hair styles they had posted on their page and they aced like I was asking for something unusual . I am so disgusted and sickened and stuck trying to do my own hair for my birthday party . I didn’t deserve that ! Hurt and disgusted with an Afro .
