Whether you’ve mastered the one-legged king pigeon pose or are still trying to get your rear end elevated in downward dog, Yoga Studio offers a broad range of exercises that you can assemble into your own perfect regime. We love the easy-to-follow videos with their relaxing narration and soothing music, plus the way we can schedule sessions right into our calendars. There are even custom-made classes for everything from curious beginners to runners looking to limber up. Scorpion pose or bust! (Let’s be honest—probably bust.)
I love this program. Keeps me moving. I just wish the app had the same home screen on my new MAC laptop as it does on my iPhone 12 and iPad mini. They both have a selection for my programs that I’ve been using for years. Not the MAC. Some of my favorites are there but others like my very necessary “Twist and Align “can’t be found.
***UPDATE***. Still 5 stars, especially as new content is coming so fast! I love the full body flows and continue to use the legacy runner stretches. I will say that the video can be glitchy, making the instructor seem like they’re pausing in the flow, which is confusing at times. But once I figured out what was going I listened more than watched and it all worked out. The glitches don’t make me hate it though! This app is a fantastic alternative to in person studios! My mother gifted me this app, and it actually took me a while to try it out as I was using a studio near my home. But I got increasingly tired of the fees and the rigid schedule. So I opened the app. I was so pleasantly surprised! There were a range of classes from beginner to advanced and even a range of times. Sun salutations for when you're really running late, 20, 30 and 60 minute classes. I like that the offer flexibility, strength or a combination as well. I was pleased with the update of "Earth" classes, but haven't seen any new content since then. I would really like some new content as well as more varied poses. The app as it stands now would get you pro at plank and dancer, but leaves a little much to be desired for other poses. I'm still incredibly happy with the app. I'm thrilled Mom found it and gifted it to us. Even if she hadn't, this app is worth paying for.
I love this app! It's so nice to have the option to choose between 15, 30, or 60 minutes from any category (strength, balance, flexibility, relaxation, or combination of them) from any experience level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced). It's a huge plus that you can download any of the 30 prerecorded classes with wifi, then be able to still use this app when you don't have wifi available. I like to take my ipad to the beach, park, or wherever I travel that doesn't have wifi, and be able to practice yoga there. I recommend this app to everyone who practices yoga on a regular basis or to people who are just starting out. My only grip with this app is that the classes are too slow between transitions! 5 seconds in mountain pose or plank pose is too long. It's good for learning, but not for those who would like a good vinyasa flow. You really won't work up a sweat. Also, would be great if there was another music option, or option to turn the music off. Would be nice if yoga studio added classes every once in awhile for more variety for those of us who use the app a lot. I also love the feature to be able to make your own class, except it's annoying to play it and follow along because the wording doesn't flow smoothly. Would be even greater to have the option to choose between going through the class with English pose names or the actual Sanskrit asana names, it would aid in learning them! Otherwise, solid app!
I'm over 100lbs overweight and trying to get healthier. For years I have wanted to try yoga, but being overweight and insecure I am not comfortable going to a studio to take classes. I'm so glad I bought this app. It has hours upon hours of classes ranging from beginner to advanced. Each level is broken down and has multiple classes that target specific things, such as strength, flexibility and relaxation and there are classes that are a combination of the three. The classes range in time from 15 mins to an hour. I do the 30 min beginner strength class in the morning, which for me is a good work out, and the 30 min intermediate flexibility class at night before bed. These classes have helped strengthen my body, and in a little over a month and a half I have seen some amazing results. These classes along with diet changes have helped me to lose 25 lbs. In the past I have always given up on exercise because it was too hard or painful. These classes push me, but not to the breaking point. I actually enjoy them! Although I do curse when I'm doing a half boat. Watching myself go from not being able to hold a plank, to now doing multiple Vinyassas (plank, knees chest chin, downward dog)with ease has given me the boost in confidence and helped me get excited about becoming stronger. I find myself wanting to do the classes and I can tell on the days I don't. This app has been a life changer for me!
Love this app, it is so well designed that I look forward to get my yoga fix for the day, it is a pleasure to use rather than a schedule to keep. Love the high quality videos and soothing narrator's voice. Love the automatic calendar logging of classes done. Love the quick fix classes so that you can select by time duration (they even have 10 and 15 min classes!!) as well as by ability. Busy family and work schedules are common these days that often I only have that 10 min or 15 min slot in the morning or night before bed. Great that you don't need wifi. When I joined a yoga gym, I could hardly make it there once a week. With this app I have been getting my daily yoga, morning and evening, and the best part is that it is with even better quality teaching than many yoga classes I have attended. I have also learnt that I don't need to push my body to perform technically difficult yoga poses, as is often what seems to happen in yoga classes, to achieve great improvements. I have already seen great improvements in my health with regular use of this yoga app at the beginner level including increased flexibility, increased core strength and no more aches and pains in neck, shoulders and backs, as well as better general wellbeing from these relaxation techniques.Only wish there were more customised poses for specific prior injuries as to how to rehabilitate these egg. neck, shoulder, wrists .
My dad and I are real yoga fanatics and have been going to a yoga studio a couple times a week and doing yoga at home for years. We moved not to long ago and now our old yoga studio is to far away to go to and we haven't been able to find another good yoga place yet. So (me being a typical hippy/technology loving teenager) I went to the App Store in search of a quality yoga app that had advanced classes in it. I down loaded three different apps in total and fell in love with this one (the others just can't compete) I absolutely love the voice of the yoga teacher and the background music (I use the ocean waves one) and the way that it shows you how to move from pose to pose is a really nice feature (not all apps have it set up like that). I also like how you can create your own yoga class (me being experienced in yoga, I just use the pose names now). I like this app so much that I actually downloaded it onto my moms phone when I did some of the beginner and intermediate sets and found that they were really good quality. I even got my little sister into it! I like this app because it feels like I'm in a real class and it times my poses so I don't rush threw my yoga sessions (a bad habit of mine). Yoga is a fun and easy way to exercise or stretch or relax and I really recommend this app to all the budding yogi's out there that think yoga is too hard for them! Go yoga!
