When you tube music firs started I have to admit I hated the app starting a station would only give you eight songs and then it would go on repeat, I got fed up and reached out to google customer support and definitely one of the best customer service ever, the representative that help me out tried everything to figure out why it wouldn’t auto play continuously, finally we gave up and the problem continued, finally google reached out to me again and asked me how my experience with the app was and I was on the verge of canceling my service but the amazing people at google took my threat seriously and fixed the issue right away, now every time I start a station new songs keep popping up, I am definitely a happy customer and will be referring others to google instead of all the other platforms, Thanks Google for fixing the issue I’ am one happy customer who will continue using your services if I had 4 thumbs they’d be way up 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I wrote this months ago. There are so many improvements listed on so many of the reviews. None were really taken, and the update usually worsens things. Consider how the library tab was removed a few years ago. It was extremely hard to find my playlists. This was recently fixed. I guess you finally figured out that that is dumb.
However, similar mistakes are keep being made, such as messing with the home screen. There are productive changes to be made other than mere presentation.

1. I would like to remove songs from new releases and no longer have these songs recommended. 2. It’s good that lyrics are no longer in chunks and FINALLY highlighting each line when it’s playing. (The music-tech industry had this available since at least 2011.) But it didn’t have to the entire screen and block the album cover. I would like to see it line by line maybe below the album cover. 3. The updated home tab is really showing too much, especially those recommended (but not personalized) playlists. In general personalized content on YT music could really use some fix… I really don’t get the sense that the algorithm considers a lot of aspects of music comprehensively. Things I feel missing are specific region in the US and iconic features in indie music. I’m sure people of different demographics and music tastes would feel many other things missing…

When I first got the App years ago it was great. The app is still working wonderfully when it comes to finding songs, getting recommendations, and adding music to a playlist. And I really like the inclusion of accessing community playlists. What irks me is that I’m having issues editing my playlist off the app. I’ll spend time, kill a GOOD bit of time, editing a playlist and it won’t save! I’ll hit the editing pencil icon, move songs around, hit done, then I refresh the playlist to find that it’s still the same. It’s really really frustrating! And I can’t get continuous play off my downloaded playlists often. It will stop play early in the playlist, or glitch out altogether and stop at one song. When it stops at one song it will usually say, “unable to find playlist.” Really tired of this as well. These really shouldn’t be issues. It’s kind of the core of the App to have these functions. It’s like having a movie service subscription, but you only get to watch on odd numbered days. What’s the point?! Really shouldn’t have to point out that the focus on the developers should be to make sure the core services that the App provides are working as they should. Let’s make sure the App does what it’s advertised to do before we get ambitious.
