zClock - Clock & Countdown‪.‬ 4+

Perfect!

zClock is wonderful. I recently hid my menu bar for the aesthetics, and I found the clock was the one thing that I wanted to see without moving my mouse up to the top. zClock allows me to do exactly that, while adding customization over the font, color, size, and exact type of time displayed. The ability to let it go under other programs is essential; otherwise in the top right corner it even blocks notifications. It opens up in the correct place every time when it starts up, and even works well going on and off of my external display and normal screen.
(edit: the below feature has now been added, making zClock even better!)
The only feature I'd like to request is having a 12 hour version (no am/pm necessary, just so I don't have to subtract 12 in my head all the time).

Many users want 12 hour version, but I can not display AM/PM gracefully, So have not done anything until now. I will add this feature next version, thanks.

I want to hide my menubar but I need to see a clock without looking. So I need a desktop clock!

There are a lot of desktop clock apps out there. Many haven't been updated in years. Many are ugly. This one works well, is highly customizable (can be small, in whatever color you want), is actively supported. Get it!

One suggestion for the developer--I'd like the clock to stay in place even when I "show desktop." Not sure that's possible, but it would allow me to find the clock even when I have a dozen windows open.

I am not sure what is your needs, the clock can displayed on the top of the screen.

Absolutely perfect

This handy little app does exactly what it says, and beautifully. So many useful features, very customizable and it's always right there on the screen when I need it. Adjusting the font size, style & color are additional pluses - all necessary for these tired senior eyes. I had a question regarding one feature and the developer got back to me THE VERY NEXT DAY! That's service. I highly recommend this app. The low price really makes it well worth the money.
