A dying artist is trying to finish one last project. But there is a problem - he can’t remember what it is, or how to create it.
You find yourself in a cluttered and disjointed house, with mementos of a life scattered in disarray. You are in his dreams. You begin your journey with a mystery, how do you help this man remember? How can you assist him in reconnecting memories with the goal of helping him finish his last project, a gift for his infant granddaughter?
As you explore his memories and move deeper into a confused life, his thoughts slowly untangle and he begins to make connections.
ZED is a beautiful first-person narrative adventure with simple, straightforward puzzles. Exploring allows you to move deeper into a highly detailed series of dream worlds, places to examine a man's imperfect life and in the process maybe discover a little about your own.
What Players are Saying:
"ZED is perhaps the most visually gorgeous game I've played in a long while. It's a simple and straightforward collectible exploration game. It's at times dark and brooding and at other times light and joyous. It is always atmospheric and above all heartfelt." Steam review by Githnan
"ZED ultimately is what it is. A well told story, with gentle puzzles and scavenger hunting that attempts to solve the main character's psyche. That may or may not be your cup of tea, but if you enjoy a good yarn, it's worth a few hours of your time." Steam review by Greix
"ZED is an absolutely wonderful game. Beautiful graphics, story, and voice acting. The puzzles tie into the story, but are simple enough to not bog you down." Steam review by tahgtahvcover a little about your own.
Released in partnership with Cyan Ventures, the new publishing arm from the creators of the legendary games Myst and Riven, ZED is the vision of Chuck Carter, part of the team behind the original Myst. Co-written by Joe Fielder (Bioshock Infinite, The Flame in the Flood) and David Chen (Metal Gear Solid series, Narcosis), the game also features a riveting performance from veteran video-game voice actor Stephen Russell (the Thief and Fallout series).

Strange, and satisfying
Was looking forward to playing this and glad it came to the Mac. I had to adjust the graphics settings a little, but once I did it runs great.
This game is less of a traditional adventure or puzzle game, but more a work of interactive fiction. It's beautiful, and while fairly simple it has a great story that had me tearing up a little. Overall a really nice experience.
Runs the computer hot and glitches
The idea seems good, and from the little I've seen, it's an interesting game. However, every time I load the game, my computer fan runs on overdrive. Also, I've run into multiple glitches that make the game unplayable. Too bad... I loved all the Myst games and was really looking forward to this one.
This from Cyan? I was really wanting to see Myst... or Riven... instead, this is a COMPLETELY pointless two hour wander-and-click. What puzzles there are are all alike, are solvable in seconds (without use of brain cells), and walk around and squeak the stuffed animals. I really, really, wish I had my money back on this one.
