Lots of Cleaning Up To Do

I just don't know that they have everything figured out. It seems like a couple people who really liked Crossfit who are decent at computer stuff decided to make this system. There are a lot of things missing..... I've had talks with them. For example, one of my biggest peeves is that a client can cancel a group workout on their own, but not a private session.... things come up... they shouldn't have to call their trainer or even no show if they can't call.

If I was new and not already in their infrastructure, I would go elsewhere until they did some more work on their system, simplifying what they have, and adding obvious features that should be in it already.

Self checkout kiosk

Update: Still doesn’t work properly. We miss out on retail sales because members think they’re properly checking out however the purchase doesn’t actually go through. Better to not use it and have members self checkout in our store by writing down items on paper. Also, ZP has replied to me that there is a Zen Planner Kiosk App available to download, however that doesn’t exist.

Many bugs with the self checkout kiosk. Freezing, server errors, duplicate purchases, missed purchases, unable to look up existing member, etc. Have been in talks with customer support, but no fix yet. Have to discontinue use until there’s a properly functioning app. Extremely disappointed they discontinued the previous kiosk app since it actually worked and now I can’t reinstall.

Frustration since day 1

I’ve been with ZP for over 2 years. First, let me say that this could be the perfect solution but they keep coming up short on functionality and support.

I was lied to about being grandfathered in to my pricing (it keeps going up). When my prices first starting going up they told me the person. Who said that was no ok get with the company.

Also, the staff app works very poorly on the iPad. (It does work better on iPhone)

They recently made updates the cause it to not work at all on my 2nd gen iPad, with no warning.

The support is pretty lousy, with constant mistakes by people or system “glitches” but I’ve yet hear hear one bit of ownership of said mistakes. It’s like pulling teeth to get a straight answer.

I’m so deeply invested in their system at this point that it would be extremely time consuming to switch to another service. However, I wish I would’ve initially gone with another service. The time may come that I have to bite the bullet and just migrate all of my students to another service.

Don’t walk... run away from zen planner. It’s definitely NOT zen.
