It does exactly what you need, no more no less. And a note to the writer of an earlier review she was having trouble getting the app to work. In my case, it worked fine on the pad forever, but I had to upgrade my iPhone to get it to work there, the retro download that was offered did not work. I would have titled this post “perfect” but that was used.

This works. Solid, basic, application -- "does what is says on the tin." The default interface shows notation in concert pitch, but transposition is available if you play a transposed instrument (trumpet, clarinet, french horn, sax) -- a nice feature.

I like this app which is way better on Mac than the tuner on guitar. The only thing is I have to set the system input as MacBook Air-Microphone. When I set the default input as my Rubix44 USB sound card, Zen Tuner stops working. Would you please make this beatiful and useful app able to work with external sound card?

The only thing that is needed to make this tuner the best is an ability to connect to a DAW inside iOS. AUV3 functionality would be best for that, but even IAA would work at this point. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for an update, and I’ll upgrade my review if this happens, it’s the only thing missing from being perfect!
