Takes some time with it

Like most CRM’s there is an adjustment period that requires the user to get familiar with using the platform. If you’re just starting out with crm, this app is simple to navigate and allows you to connect your email account and it provides data on whether the email sent was opened, if the recipient clicked on any links and integrates nicely with your calendar’s. I became familiar with Zell in a previous company and when I decided to launch my podcast, I knew I needed someway to keep myself accountable and not forget about contacting people, follow up calls/emails/ tasks. This app was so easy to use, I decided to continue using it for my business. You can create email templates and integrate data from your contact card into your email. This system isn’t for everyone but if you’re on a budget consider it because when you get bigger and determine that this may not be suitable for you, IF you put information in Zell correctly, the transfer to your new system will be seamless.

Easy to use but frustrating limitations

Overall the app is pretty slick and easy to use. Our main frustrations are in ZD Sell’s limitations like the fact that you can only have one sales pipeline (unless you upgrade to Enterprise and then you only get...2!?!?). This makes it annoying to organize different types of leads, you must use tags or custom fields and then filter, and you can’t have different stage names. Disorganized mess! Comparing to pipedrive, who allows you to add multiple pipelines and customize each one, this is very silly. It wouldn’t cost you anything extra to remove these arbitrary limits, since it’s just extra rows in your database. Another frustrating limitation is that you can only connect one email account. If you are working with VIP clients who happen to have your personal email address which is common in the creative industry I’m in, you wouldn’t be able to connect that account and pull in those emails to ZD Sell. It will only sync emails from one email account. Hope they will consider addressing some of these things which users have been complaining about for years.

Stay away from this “software”

It does work fantastic on the phone but at some point you will need to upgrade it so you can get the leads exported or printed and you will need the desktop version that’s when the problem starts, The worst customer service known to mankind. I have even written to the chairman of the company begging and pleading of them to help me with simple things but they don’t care , stay away from the software, if you want to elevate yourself to a higher level you’ll be sorry you got involved with it and you will tear your hair out if you have any hair. I wrote End emails begging and pleading for them to give me such simple help and they won’t do it. There are many other CRM systems and I’m sure they give much better help. If you don’t think you will need the desktop version which at some point will be vital then this software is fine.

The latest development is that after writing to all LinkedIn contacts I can find and other people, they did give up and provided me support but I’m still struggling. If this works I’ll be happy. Note that the mobile version is free and works well and consistent no crashes.
