Everyone is on the move these days. Your friends travel all over the world and so it's easy to miss connections. Zocal makes it super simple to find and connect with people you already know wherever you're going. I live in Chicago, and I found 4 friends through Zocal from college who were also living here for the past 3 years but I had no idea that they were here.
Only your city is shared!! I love it
I was always cautious of using Snapchat's Map, Google Latitude, or any other location app with my friends. They broadcast your exact location and with everything that's happening around the world that is so unsafe!! What I love about Zocal is that it shares only your city and doesn't show people your exact location. This I can get on board with.
Love browsing local news
I always felt I knew what was happening around the US but was out of touch of what was happening in my own city. You can follow NY Times, CNN, and a few other news accounts on Zocal will filter the news by city. Simple enough, but yet quite a fun user experience.
