Description

The Zooniverse is the world’s largest and most popular platform for people-powered research. This research is made possible by volunteers—hundreds of thousands of people around the world who come together to assist professional researchers. Our goal is to enable research that would not be possible, or practical, otherwise. Zooniverse research results in new discoveries, datasets useful to the wider research community, and many publications.

The Zooniverse Mobile App provides push notification updates about our projects, as well as access to our most mobile-friendly projects and publications.

Great but needs Dark Mode

I love this app. I use it all the time for several projects. But the app REALLY, REALLY, R E A L L Y needs a dark mode. This is especially true for projects in dealing with Space. The dark images and white backgrounds of the app are very hard on the eyes. It causes noticeable eye fatigue and ghost images in the eye. A dark neutral gray background would be best. If i did not make my self clear... REALLY NEED A DARK MODE.

I’ve never had so much fun swiping left and right!

This is an app I don’t mind wasting a lot of time on, unlike almost every other in my phone...it is a cool feeling to know that my swiping is helping scientists and researchers somewhere, somehow, advance causes I care about. My only complaint is that sometimes I swipe faster than the projects can load! Thanks zooniverse!

So addicting and more fun than a silly game!

I love so many of the Zooinverse projects that I cannot let myself log on during work hours. What a great way to participate at home!! Today I have been on a photo safari and took a trip to see whales and dolphins. All while sitting on my couch. AND I get to help with real science projects. Love his app! Can we get “plastics in oceans” on here next, please?
